Deaths in 2018 and George H. W. Bush

Although Bush suffered for many years from Parkinsons disease, no available news outlets (or his article) venture to say that's what actually killed him (as of my timestamp below at least). Therefore, we cannot put that assumption in as a cause of death until it is confirmed, if at all. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 07:09, 1 December 2018 (UTC)

Refsworldlee But what about George H. W. Bush #Death? Qwertyxp2000 (talk | contribs) 07:19, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
If you look closely, these two statements come one after the other, but do not claim to be connected as far as cause of death is concerned:
 • "Bush suffered from vascular parkinsonism, a form of Parkinson's disease that had forced him to use a motorized scooter or wheelchair since at least 2012.[342][343]"
 • "Bush died on November 30, 2018, aged 94,[344] at his home in Houston.[345]"
Therefore it is unsafe to introduce that as a cause of death anywhere either until the two become connected up ('B' due to 'A') in the article, after a reliable source states definitely that the cause of death has been established. Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 07:57, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
@Refsworldlee: Okay then. If indeed it was by vascular parkinsonism in his house, then just write "Parkinson's disease" would be fine, or should I use "vasular parkinsonism"? And I understand now that these death causes are not connected as of yet, so I shall not change them until there is actual evidence. Qwertyxp2000 (talk | contribs) 08:01, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
And surely {{contradict}} would fit on that article George H. W. Bush too, right? Qwertyxp2000 (talk | contribs) 08:02, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
Please, don't change anything at the Deaths in 2018 page or in the George H. W. Bush article either! Not UNTIL a source confirms death due to Parkinsons (or the vascular version) - whatever it may have been has yet to be announced. Certainly, when or if the cause appears in a reliable source, use the words exactly as they do in the source. But never put an unconfirmed cause of death in Deaths in 2018. I say this because any regular editor will revert such additions or those we don't usually include in the subject line. As for the "contradict" issue, the article or its editors do not claim the two are connected, so there is no direct contradiction. (Death can occur 'alongside' the illness, not just 'because of' the illness.) Thanks. Ref (chew)(do) 08:16, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
