Global account edit

Hi Quentin X! As a Steward I'm involved in the upcoming unification of all accounts organized by the Wikimedia Foundation (see m:Single User Login finalisation announcement). By looking at your account, I realized that you don't have a global account yet. In order to secure your name, I recommend you to create such account on your own by submitting your password on Special:MergeAccount and unifying your local accounts. If you have any problems with doing that or further questions, please don't hesitate to ping me with {{ping|DerHexer}}. Cheers, —DerHexer (Talk) 14:37, 2 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Pirates (1986 film) edit

Hmmm. I just noticed something odd about our edits regarding the cast list and the poster on this film. If you look at the image of the poster on the page, it lists the version you are referring to--with only Matthau, Campion, and Thomas credited. However, when you click on the image, the link doesn't take you to the same poster image--it takes you to the alternate version of the poster that also lists Lewis and Jacobs. The uploaded image (apparently added by you) does not match the image on the page. What's going on here? Grandpallama (talk) 21:28, 30 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

What "guidance" are you referring to that warrants removing Jennifer Grey from an infobox listing of primary actors? There is no discussion about this on the article talk page. This minor addition warrants a revert? Liz Read! Talk! 18:10, 23 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Poster edit

Can you please stop reverting the Absolutely Anything poster? They are both UK posters, but the one sheet is clearly the better one to use. Koala15 (talk) 06:42, 16 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Obviously I disagree and have said why in my reverts. Quentin X (talk) 06:47, 16 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
Yes, but the one sheet is a UK poster, and the one sheet is always preferred over a quad. Koala15 (talk) 06:55, 16 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
The one sheet is a promotional poster. The quad is the actual release poster. Quentin X (talk) 06:57, 16 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, that's pure nonsense. The one sheet has the billing block and everything, clearly a final poster. Koala15 (talk) 07:01, 16 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
Look around UK films, especially the Bond films. Where there is a quad available, it is used. You may think it's "nonsense". Doesn't mean you're right. Quentin X (talk) 07:19, 16 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
A quad is used when their is no one sheet from the country of origin. I have no clue why you're fighting this so hard. Koala15 (talk) 16:46, 16 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
Yes, that makes perfect sense when you look at the Bond films which are ALL quads barring Spectre. An article should be relevant to its country of origin. UK cinemas use quads. Therefore UK films have quads. Quentin X (talk) 17:01, 16 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
Why did they release a one sheet if they only use quads? Koala15 (talk) 17:05, 16 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
The one sheet is sent out as promotional material but usually to reviewers as part of the promotion for the film. It is still considered to be a poster but not THE theatrical poster. Quentin X (talk) 07:16, 17 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
Bring you're issues to the talk page instead of edit warring with me. Its getting ridiculous. Koala15 (talk) 16:56, 23 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
I see no reason in taking it to the talk page as the conversation started here. And be careful who you say is edit warring as you have uploaded an image that has previously been deleted and have never given a reason for your uploads, whereas I have. You never answered my last point so the assumption was that my point had been accepted. I suggest you take this to an administrator. For the time being I will remove the deletion request from the page. If I hear nothing from you I will again assume you accept the quad. Quentin X (talk) 22:10, 23 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
