Hello @KylieTastic and thank you for your quick review of my first proposed article! I respectfully request that you reconsider. There is a German-language Wikipedia article already for Zefania XML with a number of dead links at https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zefania_XML and I have now made this English article corresponding to it with further information and documentation. While it may not be referenced extensively on Wikipedia, there are hundreds of Bible translations and several applications that are in or that use this format (most are not in English and are intended for underrepresented groups that have limited Bible resources in their languages), which is no longer publicly documented (the associated domains have expired and I had to use Archive.org and study XML examples to learn the knowledge presented in this article). This article will help preserve this information and serve as a resource to consult for those who wish to learn more about this format which is actively used to distribute Bible translations globally. Your reconsideration of the article is greatly appreciated, and/or provision of further advice as to how I can improve the article. Thank you!

  • Hey QoheletIO, each language Wikipedia has their own guidelines and policies so just because it exists on German Wikipedia does not mean it meets the English Wikipedia policies. All new articles on English Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). Note that sources here do not have to be in English and dead sources accessible via Archive.org (or other archive sites) are just as valid as when live. Normally we look for 3+ good sources: one of your sources is the project itself on github (so not independent) and shows no real sign of wide interest either and another is sourceforge which again is not independent. If the format is (or has been) "actively used" then maybe other sources do exists. So if there are sources including non English sources and/or archived sources please do update and resubmit. (I hope that made sense, I'm very tired but like to respond sooner than later). Regards KylieTastic (talk) 20:59, 17 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Understood and thank you for the clarification. I've made significant edits to the article and I think you will now be able to see that there is significant coverage of this format in its relevant domains and it is actively supported and used by several projects (I've endeavored to list several more as representative examples as demonstration of coverage). Thanks!
