Persistent unconstructive page moves edit

I don't know why you keep moving the page you have created about Ahmed Isse Awad to inappropriate namespaces, but please stop. If you don't have enough understanding of Wikipedia's namespaces to know what kind of pages should have, for example, "Wikipedia" or "Help" prefixed to their titles, then don't prefix such namespace indicators to titles of pages. However, the fact that you have repeatedly moved the page with the edit summary "Fix grammar", despite the fact that what you were doing could not possibly have been thought to be correcting grammar, must cast doubt on whether the moves have been done in good faith, and if you persist then it will be difficult to view what you are doing as anything other than vandalism. Speedy deletion nomination of Reactions to the 2023 Turkish presidential election edit

Hello QalasQalas,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Reactions to the 2023 Turkish presidential election for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.

If you don't want Reactions to the 2023 Turkish presidential election to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Reactions to the 2023 Turkish presidential election edit

Hello. I have moved Draft:Reactions to the 2023 Turkish presidential election back to the mainspace. This is not because I accepted the draft as a reviewer, but because there was a deletion discussion happening at the time. Please do not move articles to draft when an AfD discussion is ongoing, as it can be seen as trying to evade the discussion and may cause confusion (as it did now). Thanks. ~StyyxTalk? 14:36, 30 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

please don't delete if i make mistake or you to improve let me know I'll fix it and move to draft. Thanks QalasQalas (talk) 15:14, 30 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
There’s not a mistake with the article per se, so much as it’s simply not notable enough to exist as a standalone article. The Kip (talk) 17:30, 30 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. JBW (talk) 22:13, 30 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Placing AfC acceptance notices on your talk page yourself edit

Hi QalasQalas, I reverted your edit to your to your talk page which added an AfC acceptance notice for a draft you created and moved to mainspace as it gives a false impression (see WP:TPNO), even if that is not your intent. AfC acceptance notices should only be used by AfC reviewers (usually done automatically by the AfC script) and only for drafts that are accepted via the AfC process. Your User page is a great place to document the articles you have created or any other contributions, though. S0091 (talk) 18:48, 27 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Warning edit

Stop posting fake AfC acceptance notices on your talk page as it gives a false impression. Also note any experienced editor can tell the notice is false because it is missing crucial information a legitimate acceptance contains. Pinging @JBW: to get a second opinion from an administrator in case I am wrong. JBW please see here (thought they were just playing around so ignored), here which I reverted and left User talk:QalasQalas#Placing AfC acceptance notices on your talk page yourself a couple sections above, the one immediately above which makes it look like Ipigott left but that does not appear to the case per this, and just now this one which I reverted, thus this warning. Granted this not the worse thing someone can do but to me it is deceptive and falls afoul of WP:TPNO.

QalasQalas I think you are a promising new editor but please explain why you doing this. S0091 (talk) 20:27, 1 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Only I submitted an article but i don't know what happened may be i think make a mistake. Thanks for understanding QalasQalas (talk) 20:30, 1 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
QalasQalas, thanks for the response but it is clear from the diffs I linked above, you are adding these acceptances notices to your talk page. They are your edits. Please understand everything one does here is recorded. For example here is all of your contributions (even more detail here) . The same is true for my contributions or any other editor (there are exceptions but not pertinent in this instance). I need you to confirm you will stop introducing false information to your talk page (or anywhere else for that matter). S0091 (talk) 20:49, 1 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
QalasQalas, at first what you were doing looked like just posting AfC acceptance notices to yourself about articles you had created yourself, without realising that doing so might be misleading. However, after S0091 had warned you about doing so, you continued to do it. You have also at posted AfC acceptance notices about pages which you did not create and which were not created through the AfC process, including one which you have never even edited, let alone created, and which had already been in existence for almost fifteen years before you even created your account. You think you may have made a mistake? Well, any possibility of giving the benefit of the doubt, and believing that you that you have somehow made the same rather strange mistake over and over again, is reduced by past evidence of your intentions, such as posting edit summaries which misrepresent what you are doing, as I have pointed out to you before. You are not going to get a warning about every possible unconstructive editing practice that you might use: if you keep on editing in disruptive or unhelpful ways then sooner or later you will be blocked from editing. And it doesn't make a lot of difference whether you are making mistake after mistake, suggesting a lack of competence, or whether you know full well what you are doing, suggesting dishonesty: either way is likely to lead to the same result. JBW (talk) 21:01, 1 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hey man, I'm professional and yet it's not my fault. When I move the page, the error happens unintentionally. I don't know whether it's a technical error or something else. QalasQalas (talk) 21:39, 1 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
OK, so let's look at one of these occasions where you moved a page, and completely by mistake, not your fault, it resulted in one of these phony messages being posted to this page. This edit took place at 16:43 (GMT) on 1st August 2023. The last time you moved a page was at 18:29 on the 27th July 2023. So it took a little less than five days for this technical error to take effect. And it's a kind of technical error that I have never come across before, in my 17 years as a Wikipedia editor, including 13 years as an administrator. And it keeps on happening to you, over and over again, and not to anyone else. And a pig just flew past my window. You may find it helpful to read Law of holes. And please understand that the warnings I am giving you here are posted to try to help you to avoid being blocked from editing. JBW (talk) 21:51, 1 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
I wanted to move Draft:President of Puntland to main space and yet not working for me even tho i merged a redirect article President of Puntland. QalasQalas (talk) 21:57, 1 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
QalasQalas, this is a silly hill to die on but if you insist you are not adding these acceptance notices, which honestly stretches WP:AGF into WP:AGF is not a suicide pact, then if this weird anomaly occurs again you need to remove the acceptance notice from your talk page given it is an error and report it to WP:VPT so the tech folks can determine the cause and remedy the issue. Hi, since you've added yourself to the list of available translators, could you take a look at this question at WP:RSN? Leticia "Letty" Ortiz-Toretto moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Leticia "Letty" Ortiz-Toretto, is not suitable as written to remain published. In order to establish notability, additional real-world, behind-the-scenes information as well as commentary from secondary sources must be added. I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page, rather than unilaterally moving it to the mainspace. Thank you. InfiniteNexus (talk) 05:52, 14 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

QalasQalas, I notice you are slowly expanding the draft. Do you understand what I wrote above? In order for the character to be considered notable to warrant a standalone article, there must be a significant number of reliable, secondary sources that discuss real-world details about her, for example about how the writers developed her character, how the actress approached the character, praise and criticism of her portrayal, analysis of her personality, etc. Everything must be attributed to a reliable source. Avoid WP:FANCRUFT and WP:TRIVIA — that is, information that would only interest a particular audience, in this case fans of the character/franchise. Thank you. InfiniteNexus (talk) 06:26, 14 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry for your misunderstand me, but sure. I'll add it all citations; Primary and Secondary reliable. QalasQalas (talk) 06:32, 14 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Michelle Rodriguez edit

Proposed deletion of Nasra Ali Abukar edit

The article Nasra Ali Abukar has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Per WP:BLP1E we shouldn't have an article for Ali Abukar. She is known for a single event and is otherwise a "low-profile individual".

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. gobonobo + c 15:33, 28 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
