I'm contacting him for his personal information. Details like his family and his background will be added later once he gives me the complete information. For now I request you to Undelete the page so that I can add additional details to what's written.

Thanks and Regards Magi. A

Re: Thanks!!! edit

Thanks to you, too, for taking the time to read that link and for dramatically expanding and improving the Jeeva article. It looks far better now. For future reference, if you want to indicate that you're still building an article but you want to save a short first revision, just add {{underconstruction}} to the top of the article. Oviyar Jeeva edit

Hi,

The article oviyar Jeeva has been nominated for deletion. I have voted keep citing the relevant wikipedia policies and explaining how he is notable. I have also formatted and copy edited the article to suit wikipedia's writing style. Let me know if you need any more help with this article--Sodabottle (talk) 08:04, 28 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Regarding the image of jeeva. You can add an image to wikipedia if a) it is an image taken by you or b) if you have permission from the photographer to release the image under a creative commons licence. Wikipedia operates by american copyright laws and they are strict. If you have an image taken by yourself, you can upload directly. But if you are going to use image of others, obtain email permission from them in the format prescribed in WP:PERMISSION. Once done you can upload the file through the link "upload file" in the toolbox menu in the left panel. After uploading place the file name in the infobox's "image" field.--Sodabottle (talk) 17:04, 28 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

How references work edit

Simple references edit

These require two parts;

a)
Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref>

He likes tea. <ref> [http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com Tea website] </ref>
b) A section called "References" with the special code "{{reflist}}";
== References ==
{{reflist}}

(an existing article is likely to already have one of these sections)

To see the result of that, please look at user:chzz/demo/simpleref. Edit it, and check the code; perhaps make a test page of your own, such as user:Pvrmagesh/reftest and try it out.

Named references edit

Chzz was born in 1837. <ref name=MyBook>
"The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009.
</ref>

Chzz lives in Footown.<ref name=MyBook/>

Note that the second usage has a / (and no closing ref tag). This needs a reference section as above; please see user:chzz/demo/namedref to see the result.

Citation templates edit

You can put anything you like between <ref> and </ref>, but using citation templates makes for a neat, consistent look;

Chzz has 37 Olympic medals. <ref> {{Citation
 | last = Smith
 | first = John
 | title = Olympic medal winners of the 20th century
 | publication-date = 2001
 | publisher = [[Cambridge University Press]]
 | page = 125
 | isbn = 0-521-37169-4
}}
</ref>

Please see user:chzz/demo/citeref to see the result.
