October 2017 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your user subpage at User:Pushkar Dwivedi may not meet Wikipedia's user page guideline. If you believe that your user page does not violate our guideline, please leave a note on this page. Alternatively you may add {{Db-u1}} to the top of the page in question and an administrator will delete it, or you can simply edit the page so that it meets Wikipedia's user page guideline.

You can write about yourself on your user page, but it should not look like an autobiography article and should not be in ALL CAPS.

How I create my own page? Pushkar Dwivedi (talk) 19:25, 18 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I only noticed this request after trying to figure out why you had edited my userpage. Your edits to my userpage did not make sense, so I've reverted them.
As to how to create your own page, you already have a userpage at User:Pushkar Dwivedi. Your userpage is a place write some things about yourself and your Wikipedia efforts, but should not attempt to be a complete autobiography.
You also have this page, your talk page, which should be used for communications with other editors. It is not a place to draft encyclopedia content, as it appears you were starting to do in the section at the top.
For drafting new content, the recommended place is a sandbox or userspace draft. You have already created User:Pushkar Dwivedi/sandbox, but it appears that, unfortunately, you were trying to write an autobiographical article, which is seldom the correct thing to do. For other userspace draft pages or other sandboxes, you just have to enter the name of the page you wish to create, either in the search box or by modifying the URL in your browser's navigation bar, and you'll be offered the chance to create the page you've named. At this point, your account should have the status of "autoconfirmed" and you may create pages almost anywhere you think there should be one. But you should probably study your first article before you embark on creating new pages.
Don't worry over much about making mistakes, we all have to start learning from a point of not knowing everything. Try things out, interact with other editors. There's a place called the Teahouse where friendly editors will answer questions about how to edit Wikipedia. If you have not edited a Wiki-based site before, it can be challenging and confusing sometimes, so feel free to ask questions. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 10:03, 26 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

General warning December 2017 edit

Some of your edits, such as this one to Pushkar have not been constructive and have been undone. There were also some changes you made at Milan Puskar and my talk page that needed to be undone. Please do your experimental edits in a sandbox. Persistent disruptive editing may result in a loss of editing privileges. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 14:12, 26 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Pushkar Dwivedi edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Pushkar Dwivedi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Writing about yourself edit

You are welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, but it is not a social media site like Facebook or LinkedIn for people to write about themselves. It is a quite different sort of site, a project to build an encyclopedia, so it is selective about subjects for articles. Writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography.

Wikipedia user pages are not like those at social networking sites. Their use is explained at WP:NOTWEBHOST:

"Wikipedians have individual user pages, but they should be used primarily to present information relevant to work on the encyclopedia. Limited autobiographical information is allowed, but user pages do not serve as personal webpages, blogs, or repositories for large amounts of material irrelevant to collaborating on Wikipedia. If you want to post your résumé or make a personal webpage, please use one of the many free providers on the Internet or any hosting included with your Internet account. The focus of user pages should not be social networking or amusement, but rather providing a foundation for effective collaboration. Humorous pages that refer to Wikipedia in some way may be created in an appropriate namespace. Personal web pages are often speedily deleted."

You can find out more about Wikipedia at the WP:Welcome page and the WP:Introduction, as well as Wikipedia's plain and simple conflict of interest guide. Thanks. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 18:32, 10 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Falsifying data edit

Please do not falsify data in Wikipedia pages as you did in this edit to the article on Ukraine. There is/was a cited source [1] and the citation told people that the information was on pages 22 and 29. On page 29 there is a table that clearly shows Hinduism (Індуїзм) as 0.2 in 2016 (and 0.0 in 2014), not 1.2 as you claimed.-- Toddy1 (talk) 06:29, 14 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Ukraine. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you.-- Toddy1 (talk) 16:08, 14 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did with data on percentage of people of different religions in the article on New Zealand. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you.-- Toddy1 (talk) 18:19, 14 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia has a policy Wikipedia:Verifiability. This says "verifiability means that other people using the encyclopedia can check that the information comes from a reliable source." This means that when articles have lists of statistics and a cited source, the statistics need to be based on the cited source. If you want to change the statistics, you need to provide a different source - and this different source needs to have the statistics you are cited.-- Toddy1 (talk) 18:29, 14 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Mathura(Lok Sabha constituency). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Mathura (Lok Sabha constituency). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Mathura (Lok Sabha constituency). If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. FITINDIA 10:10, 9 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
