Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

New Sandbox

I just made a new sandbox, and I'm tossing the link here, so I can find it more easily. I'm hoping to also use this for potential collaborative projects that I may encounter in the Women in Red page, since that's definitely been an interesting group to follow so far. Orphaned talk pages

Hello, Pumpkinspyce,

Please do not create Talk pages where there is no Article page. First, no one will see your comments because no one is looking for a Talk page that isn't associated with an existing article. And because, secondly, an admin like myself will just delete the page on CSD G8 grounds because pages "dependent on a deleted or nonexistent page" are deleted through speedy deletion. If you are looking to start an article, it is much better to go to the Talk page of an existing article or the Talk page of a WikiProject where you might find other editors interested in the subject. But it's a waste of your time and mine to create pages that will soon be deleted.

	In July 2015 around 15.5% of the English Wikipedia's biographies were about women. As of July 2023, 19.61% of the English Wikipedia's biographies are about women. That's a lot of biographies created in the effort to close the gender gap. Happy 8th Anniversary! ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
