Speedy deletion nomination of Brace For War edit

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Brace For War, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Brace For War and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Pstanton (talk) 02:36, 27 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Brace for war, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article that does not provide sufficient context to identify its subject. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Wikipedia is not for promotion edit

Wikipedia does not distinguish between promotion and advertising, so even if you're just trying to promote Brace for War but not actively trying to advertise, we're gonna have to react the same either way. Ian.thomson (talk) 23:51, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Brace For War edit

Hi Pukman. Although it may have not been your intent, your article, "Brace For War", read like an advertisement. Here on Wikipedia, we have a policy in which advertising/spam is speedy deleted per deletion criterion G11. Please note that articles for deletion are judged on their own merit, not in comparison to other articles (See WP:OTHERSTUFF). You are certainly welcome to resubmit the article, but please revise the text so that it complies with the policies and guidelines noted at WP:ADS and WP:MOS; otherwise, you run the risk of having the article deleted again.
