Re: WikiProject Japan Top Level edit

I did not see those other articles nor their ratings (I have since reassessed them), but they are irrelevant to this particular instance. The reason I reverted your edit was simple: "Core topics (e.g., Japan, Shinto, History of Japan). Subject is a must-have for a print encyclopedia. High probability that non-Japanophiles would look this up. Must have had a large impact outside of Japan and be known in the majority of the world.... No member should give this rating to any article without first getting Project approval from the other members." armagebedar (talk) 06:00, 26 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your reply. Most of those seem fine to me -- but to be safe, I'd post them at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Japan to get some second opinions. Keep up the good work! armagebedar (talk) 23:30, 27 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Tourism edit

Hi- I understand your point of view completely and the wish to represent all touristic regions of the world; however, I don't think a photo of the Registan should go above one of the "Great Wall". The gallery was created to allow more photos into the Tourism article; because of the number of photos in the article before that, the paragraphs were bunching up, much like the way the photo of the object in the genocide museuem is now pushing down the Petronas Towers photo, creating the little extra "white space". Maybe it is time to add to the various respective "Tourism in... <country/region/etc.>" articles and cross-reference them to the main article, because if we are going to represent all 200+ sovereign countries, that would be one mighty photo gallery, obviously not following: WP:NOTREPOSITORY. Any suggestions? --Funandtrvl (talk) 20:58, 27 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
