Speedy deletion nomination of Asoz Rashid

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Asoz Rashid, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Deletion discussion about Asoz Rashid

edit

Hello Pshakhasraw, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Asoz Rashid, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Asoz Rashid.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|CNMall41}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Pshakhasraw. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmed, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. You have marked the picture you uploaded as "own work". Do you know, work for or represent this person? Also, several of the citations you have added don't support the statements you have made. Tacyarg (talk) 18:17, 16 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

I've reverted your changes after finding several references which do not support the statements preceding them:
  • the statement about her art collection is referenced to an article by her, which does not mention art;
  • the statement about her taking refuge in the Zagros Mountains is referenced to Iraq hands over 172 Anfal remains to Kurdistan Region, which mentions her in passing but is about something completely different;
  • the paragraph starting “I am passionate about justice,” she told The New Arab is referenced to Dance of the Monkeys, which is not from the New Arab and does not include this quote;
  • the statement about her languages is referenced to two sources. This one doesn't mention her languages, and the other is a deadlink.
Some of the references you have added are good sources for the article. But they need to be used to support statements which are actually in the references. You also need write neutrally - see the guidance on neutral point of view.
Please answer the question about conflict of interest before editing the article further. Thank you. Tacyarg (talk) 18:39, 16 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I've started a discussion about this at Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard. The discussion is here. Tacyarg (talk) 20:21, 16 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
