Hello, thanks for tagging this article for WP:NOTABILITY. 4years later, it's still unresolved. You may want to take it to WP:N/N (Notability Noticeboard) or AfD. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 07:07, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

Re My making changes to this page.

I have not made changes to this page, I have never been to Whitehaven, and I know of nobody who has. Furthermore, I have no interest in the town. This is not the first time I have been accused of doing this sort of thing on this site, and it is obvious to me that it is (and was previously) a case of mistaken identity. Please try harder in future to get your facts right. Thankyou. N. J. Matson. 78.150.177.221 (talk) 19:48, 13 March 2013 (UTC)−

Ronan Thompson

I know Ronan Thompson was deleted off the birth and death dates because he does not have an actual page about him. I understand why you did this, but can it not be kept? I know the link leads to the song page, and not his own, but that is the only mention of him on Wikipedia and I really want him to be on here. He is a very famous boy and we would really like to raise awareness of him and his story. Is there any way we can do this without going against the rules of date pages at all? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.24.144.42 (talk) 08:20, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

My personal view is that the date pages have a lot of people listed; restricting them to people who have Wikipedia articles in their own right seems a sensible policy. I don't think that, in general, raising awareness is what they're there for. I'm not saying that you shouldn't try to raise awareness of Ronan Thompson, just that Wikipedia's date pages aren't well designed for that purpose. Pseudomonas(talk) 10:01, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

Oh, I apologise. I mistakenly thought you were changing the title on someone else's comment. Even so, I think the toned-down version is probably sufficient to make your point (and that being abusive isn't going to be more persuasive) Pseudomonas(talk) 19:25, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

Information about someone's sex life is a) not at all relevant to the article, and b) not something that can be added to Wikipedia without reliable references. Pseudomonas(talk) 21:17, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

I have no idea what's going on

I edit things periodically, but almost always typos or misleading words. In this case, I have no idea who the guy is.

The page in question:

The edit I'm supposed to have made is foreign to me completely:

Hi there. I guess your ISP (AT&T?) has given you an IP address previously used by the person who did make the edit. Please ignore the warning, don't worry about it at all, and consider creating an account, which will stop that happening in future. You don't have to, of course, and your contributions are welcome whether you do or not. Pseudomonas(talk) 18:03, 23 May 2013 (UTC)

Adding My parents to their birthday pages as a joke/pseudo gift is not an attack

I added my parents to their respective birthdays as a joke/pseudo gift, if you have an issue with that I don't care...ban me but to get the message that it was a personal attack was a joke, there was only good things in my additions and while I realize my parents aren't famous and in your mind don't deserve to be there, they are the most important people in my life so even implying that I was attacking is an insult. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pat6681 (talkcontribs) 02:06, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

The "attack" warning was left by another editor, three years ago, in response to another incident. Pseudomonas(talk) 09:44, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

PseudoBot wibble and archiving

Hello, great to read that PseudoBot is back. I'd noticed it a little while ago when it reverted someone's vanity additions. However, today it made this revert which it shouldn't have, though the IP made the edit again and it stuck the second time. Interestingly, the first time they made the edit they added two spaces after the comma, but they used only one space on the second go – see this diff.

I've also updated your archive box so it links to your 2010–2013 talk page archives – hope you don't mind. That's a major pitfall of using a manual archive box combined with automated archiving: the archive links need to be updated manually. I imagine the easiest way to automate updating of the yearly archives would be to turn the 2006 and 2007 monthly archives into yearly pages and then use {{Yearly archive list}}. It's up to you, though. Graham87 15:28, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads-up. Not quite sure what went on there. I'll look into it. Pseudomonas(talk) 19:14, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
I think it was because there was no space between the double-asterisk and the wikilink. I've tweaked the code. Pseudomonas(talk) 19:36, 3 July 2013 (UTC)

Visual editor fix

Can PseudoBot fix edits like this where visual editor is used and the – is inserted rather than the –? -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 13:03, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

Well, I could rewrite it to make it do that; but I think that actually it'd be better just to run a once-a-week job that goes through 366 pages and does a search-and-replace on each, rather than a reactive bot. Pseudomonas(talk) 14:09, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
Ok. I can do that periodically. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 14:27, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
If you prod me sometime I can hopefully knock up a tool that will do what you want. It's a bit more faffy than just replacing all the dashes, cos some of them might be in the text of the entries. Pseudomonas(talk) 16:14, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

I don't know. My bot only dealt with the deletion of your entry on the page February 20. The user you want to ask is Russavia, as you can see from the text you pasted above. Pseudomonas(talk) 08:29, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

Hiya Pseudomonas,

I'm sorry for editing Mr. Meeses' profile on Wiki, but honestly he really deserved it. Why? Because he is working very closely with the Koch Bros and other extreme right wing reactionaries such as Ted Cruz of TX to shut down the government. Why? Because they hate Obama (because he is black), and because they hate Obamacare. They are a minority of immature assholes who are massively disrupting our government and they are enemies of the majority of Americans. They deserve no respect. They deserve to have their Wiki profiles vandalized.

I only wish my edits would permanently remain on his profile, Meese is a right wing lunatic of the lowest order and phylum. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.71.29.7 (talkcontribs)

You know, it's not that I disagree with you politically. I'd suggest you get a blog, write letters to newspapers, build a website about it; there are lots of other ways to try and get your message out there; Wikipedia's value is that it's an encyclopaedia, so it's the wrong place for it. Thanks for the message, anyway. Pseudomonas(talk) 17:07, 7 October 2013 (UTC)

Huggle 3

Hello!

I've noticed a lot of your edits in the last few days have had remarks in regarding HG3. Is it any good? I'm still using HG2.1 as 3 hasn't been "officially" released.

Would there be any benifits to me upgrading now?

Thanks! KiraChinmoku 09:02, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi Kirachinmoku! For me there's a benefit to using HG3 as I'm a Linux user and HG2 doesn't run (properly) on anything other than Windows. HG3 is definitely usable and seems very promising but is not fully stable and doesn't yet have a lot of the features that make HG2 so powerful - notably being able to page back and forth through revisions of pages and (especially) browse user contributions. So I think there wouldn't be benefits to you from upgrading. On the other hand, there would be benefits to the project to have more testers on more platforms; User:Petrb is evidently putting in a lot of great work responding very fast to bug reports and queries, and I'm sure would appreciate another pair of eyes. Pseudomonas(talk) 09:28, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
Hi@Pseudomonas:, that's brill thanks. I think I shall stick to HG2 for the time being, but am definitely looking forward to HG3 in all its new shiny glory!. KiraChinmoku 09:31, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

Look at the other links on the Bananaman page: http://www.johnnorrisbrown.com/classic-nick/bananaman/index.htm and http://www.80scartoons.co.uk/bananaman2.php. How is my source different from these? Sorry

I sent an email beforehand, but I just tried to add my friends birthday to important births on October 9th. I fully intended to change it back after I took a screenshot of it, I just thought a picture of it would make her happy. So if I could please do it, I would be very grateful. Any other edits from this IP Address seemed to be my brother changing wrestling trivia. I love wikipedia and use it too much to carelessly vandalize it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.189.212.174 (talk) 22:41, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sivuqaq (walrus), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Vallejo (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Huggle 3

Hey Pseudomonas! I am Petrb, one of core developers of Huggle, the antivandalism tool, which you are beta testing (according to https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Huggle/Members#Beta_testers). I am happy to announce that Huggle 3 is ready for some testing. You can read more about it at WP:Huggle/Huggle3_Beta. Please keep in mind that this is a development version and it is not ready for regular use. That means you must:

  • Watch your contribs - when anything happens you didn't want, fix it and report a bug
  • Frequently checkout source code and build latest version, we change it a lot

If you find any problem with a feature that is supposed to work perfectly, please let us know. Some features are not ready yet, it is listed in known problems on Huggle3 beta page, you don't need to report these - we know it! So, that's it. Have fun testing and please let us know about any problems, either using bugzilla @ http://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/ or #huggle connect. Please respond to my talk page, I am not going to watch your talk page. Thank you Petrb (talk) 10:57, 14 November 2013 (UTC)

Hey Pseudomonas, how are you? I am Petrb, one of huggle developers, and you are currently subscribed as a beta tester of huggle on meta (meta:Huggle/Members. You may not have noticed, but this week I released first beta precompiled installers for ubuntu and microsoft windows! Wikipedia:Huggle/Huggle3_Beta has all the links you need. So if you can, please download it, test it and report all bugs that is really what we need now. Don't forgot that as it's just a beta it's unstable and there are some known issues. Be carefull! Hello Pseudomonas!

I saw a message posted on my Talk page by you: "Hello, I'm Pseudomonas. I noticed that you recently made an edit to Ancient Greek art that seemed to be a test. Your test worked!
