Orphan

edit

One error that is committed by the majority of people who created new Wikipedia articles is to leave new articles "orphaned", i.e. with no links to the new article from other articles. If you know of other articles that should link to Quasi-variance, could you add those links? I may add some myself as well. Michael Hardy (talk) 18:09, 16 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Social Stratification Research Seminar

edit

Hello. I am not sure that the topic Social Stratification Research Seminar meets Wikipedia's notability criteria. As you are a scholar in the relevant field, your contributions are welcome, but on Wikipedia we forbid original research and personal opinions, and use coverage in high quality, independent, secondary sources to assess whether a topic merits inclusion in the encyclopedia, not our own notions of how important a subject may be. If you have access to reliable sources that discuss the Seminars in depth, please add them to the article. Since you are a professor, please see our advice for Expert Editors, as well as Wikipedia editing for research scientists and Ten Simple Rules for Editing Wikipedia (aimed at biomedical researchers, but applicable to all scholars). Also, be aware of conflicts of interest that can arise when writing about an area of one's research, or their colleagues, institutions, etc. For particular questions about editing, you can ask the helpful volunteers at the Teahouse, or paste the template {{Help me}} here on your Talk page followed by a question, and a volunteer will help you shortly. All the best, --Animalparty! (talk) 18:51, 1 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
