Images edit

Hi PrimalInnstinct, you asked about images for Gemylus albovittatus. Most images you find on the internet can not be used on Wikipedia. Wikipedia requires images to be public domain or to have a license which permits reuse (usually CC-BY or CC-BY-SA). See Wikipedia:Image use policy for details. I haven't been able to find any images of G. albovittatus that can be used on Wikipedia. I notice in this paper, which includes an image of the species, that it says "photographsof all species included in this article are available for download (Barðevskis et al. (eds.) 2017) on the homepage www.cerambycidae.org.". That suggests that images on www.cerambycidae.org MIGHT be available with licenses suitable for Wikipedia, but unfortunately the website seems to be down (whether temporarily or permanently, I don't know). Another option might be to contact Barðevskis directly and see if he is willing to release his image with a license suitable for Wikipedia. Plantdrew (talk) 15:30, 31 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
