As reviewing administrator, my goal was to improve the article to prevent it from being deleted.

I apologize for making those typos in the process, & I'll fix them. But it was my deliberate intention to change the tone of the article. What you wrote was a overly promotional article, using unsourced superlatives, and I was making a preliminary effort to move it closer to our requirement for a WP:Neutral point of view. It is also a provision of our manual of style, that we normally do not use the prefix Dr. within an article, except as the first mention. Iwill therefore restore my version, and fix the errors, and then see if I can improve the article further.

Considering the similarity between the subject's name and your user name, you should be aware of our rules about WP:Conflict of Interest (COI). A family member of the subject is considered to have COI. If that is the situation, you will need to declare you have COI,but you need not specify the relationship. People with COI should only make suggestions on the article talk page, and then add a line reading {{Request edit}} (include both pairs of curly brackets) and someone will come in a few days to look at the suggestion.

But what you can do directly in the article (besides fixing any remaiing typos) is to add references from references providing substantial coverage from third-party independent reliable sources, that support the claims in the article. In a biography, every statement must have a szpecific reference--see WP:BLP. DGG ( talk ) 04:01, 19 September 2016 (UTC)

I see two other editors got there even before I did, restored the version you reverted from, and mde some of the necessary fixes. All 3 of us are unlikely to be wrong .

I urge you to participate further with people where you do not have a COI, especially in adding references to the many articles on Inian singers who lack sufficient citations. DGG ( talk ) 05:09, 19 September 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for your edits. I see all the typos and errors have been corrected now. There's no COI. I happen to hail from the same place. Now since you and other editors have re-written the article to provide it the required neutral point of view, do you think you may consider removing the newsrelease tag?
