Hi,

  • Firstly, thanks for your recent enthusiasm in editing the Shriya Saran article. Although, the amount of work has been useful, it still needs to be improved massively - for hinters on actor's career summaries see Kamal Haasan, Preity Zinta and R. Madhavan's articles.
  • Secondly, the Marmayogi article isn't on Wikipedia. The film has been indefinitely stalled for the time being. I guess you might have seen changes to a user page version (can be identified, if the title includes a User: at the start).

Thank you for your active contributions.

File copyright problem with File:Shriya Saran at CIFW.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Shriya Saran at CIFW.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FASTILYsock(TALK) 03:17, 28 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome edit

Welcome!

Hello, Pravinraj, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome!

Some other pages that might help you understand Wikipedia are: WP:PEACOCK and WP:ASF. We dont call something a "mega-blockbuster" - we find a reliable source that says the film "grossed Xmillion [footnote] and played in Xhundreds of theaters for Xweeks[footnote]" and let the reader determine whether or not they consider it a success. We also do not simply write "the film was critically acclaimed." We find well respected critics published in reliable sources and summarize or quote their reviews. "John Critic's review in PublicationX called the acting 'the best seen on the screen since Shirley Temple'"[footnote]

Note that the sources must be reliable sources (WP:RS), not simply a fan's blog, or a forum posting. MM209.86.226.56 (talk) 16:34, 25 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Shriya Saran edit

Hey Pravinraj, it's ok, I believe you. I hope you come back to my version again and work that version out. I feel the site is currently very unclear and hard to read through, it's confusing! It's better to have the article in chronological order and with more paragraphs and less refs, that makes it easier and tidier! Don't get me wrong, it's nice to see your enthusiasm in editing and improving Shriya's site and believe me, I just wanted to improve the site as well. I just wanted to help! I still don't get it why you reverted my version, but you say, you saved my version and would work on it, then it's ok, please do so dude! I'll come back to Shriya's site in a few days again. Thanks! I see that you reverted my edits to the 'Obscenity charges' section that article; please could you discuss that on Talk: Saran#Obscenity charges. Many thanks,  Chzz  ►  03:10, 16 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Game (2006 film) edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Game (2006 film), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.radiokhushi.com/tollywood/reviews/game.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Also Pravinraj, you really need to respond to messages on your talk page. Sreejith K already said "Can you please upload the full size version of this image with the EXIF intact so that we can prove the copyright?" in a section above but you didn't take any action. I really don't want to see this image deleted because it is such a good picture of Shriya Saran. If you can resolve the issue by simply uploading the image with the EXIF intact please do so or at least confirm here that you will do that. If you do or say nothing, the image will be deleted for sure. If you didn't take the photo yourself please say so. Sean.hoyland - talk 07:27, 16 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Shriya Saran.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Shriya Saran.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rosenzweig (talk) 19:37, 10 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

About the article Shriya Saran edit

I see you have been putting in quite a lot of time improving that article. However, the recent change you made is quite unnecessary. Adding more praise to the article really does not made it more encyclopedic. If you would like the article to become a Good Article, I suggest you tone down on these sorts of edits, and start making it look more like other good articles about actors. - Amog | Talkcontribs 13:17, 12 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Think you can said it more properly!! What a attitude you have that makes young wikipedians angry!!(Pravinraj (talk) 05:30, 21 December 2010 (UTC))Reply

Don't flatter yourself by calling yourself young. Eww. I do not know what your point is but Unnale Unnale is a good article, and Marmayogi - actually was a proper film in production - with shoots held and everything - before it was shelved (and even then I immediately relocated the article). But your Komagata Maru - hasn't even started - even Akshay Kumar denies knowing anything about the project. So... Universal Hero (talk) 15:15, 21 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Excuse me dude, did you yourself relocate the article I don't think so. according to the hisrory at Marmoyogi article It's Stormie the one who relocate the article. Who say that Marmayogi will begin soon, Its Sify or Rediff say so..I don't think so but Komagata Maru according to Deepa Mehta will start shooting soon and this source are from Rediff and Sify! Who cares that Akshay Kumar denied the reports but It's Deepa Mehta has confirm it. Beside that, the sources which saying Akshay Kumar denied is not even reliable source- The Times of India and NDTV!! By the way, my main point is could you treat other wikipedians more nicely so that they will contribute more in wikipedia. Moreover whats this sound "Eww", its completely unnecessary word in this conversation! The answer for your "SO" is, Please try to be polite whenever you are pointing to other wikipedians mistake! By the way I meant I'm young cause I am new to wikipedia!!(Pravinraj (talk) 18:49, 21 December 2010 (UTC))Reply

Wait before that, I wanted to thank you because you are the first wikipedians to encourage me (see first topic). Still cannot understand why your politeness has gone these days. Replaceable fair use File:Baharvyjayanthi.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Baharvyjayanthi.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 10:58, 27 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Vyjayanthinayadaur.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Vyjayanthinayadaur.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 10:05, 11 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Kutty Padmini edit

Hi! are you sure that Kutty Padmini won Filmfare Best child artist. I'm asking this since there is no data available for Filmfare Awards South before the 1970s. I doubt whether they gave awards for South Indian films till 1970, that too for child artist. --Thalapathi (Ping Back) 04:12, 16 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

yes dude I'm so sure about it...because in the program "Thirumbi Parkiren" which aired on Jaya Tv...she said that she got filmfare best child artiste for the film nenjam marapathillai....since filmfare south as reached its 57th anniversary and nenjam marapathilai was released in 1963..it could be acceptable...plus you know right that there is no any official source about the winners and the nominees for the filmfare south during 50s, 60s, 80s and even 90s..moreover, padmini was prominent child artiste of that time who also associated with Meena Kumari, whom she thinks as her mother, so this is possible.Pravinraj (talk) 04:55, 16 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
Your claim (Filmfare Award for Best Child actor) regarding Kutty Padmini is not true and hence am removung it. --Thalapathi (Ping Back) 16:30, 6 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
hey dude..its not me the one who is saying that she won the award...but it was she herself said it in a jaya tv program!! the way that you are saying as if am so desperate on her performance and wrote it on her article...and the most important how did you figure out that it was wrong!!
I didn't mean that way but what made me really surprised is that awards for Best child actors are not even given in Filmfare Awards which has so many categories unlike Filmfare Awards South. Just check out this one. Only awards for "Best film" was given from the beginning and only from 1972 onwards "Best actor", "Best actress" and "Best director" were given. Even now awards for Best Child actors aren't given. --Thalapathi (Ping Back) 16:52, 6 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
hey dude, as i told you before i got nothing to do with those things as you mention above...It's just what she said in a interview...so I have no any arguments about it...

No! I'm not at all arguing, I just wanted to let you know that it's been removed since you are the one who added that claim in the article. I explained it wasn't true since you asked me, "What made me to figure out that it was wrong". Thalapathi (Ping Back) 08:37, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Its okay dude..i understand..

Dev Anand edit

You have done a great job by writing artcile on Duniya 1968. Can i request you to put more information on awards won by the film and its cast and crew, the songs, the plot, the box office figures in case of other DEV ANAND films? Many Dev Anand Film related articles are not updated in wiki properly. Really impressed with your Duniya 1968 's well formatted and well written article. There are atleast 60 classics of his which need to be present in wiki. You can get to his best films by IMDB "Best Films of Dev Anand".Paglakahinka (talk) 04:35, 23 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Fist of all, thank dude for your appreciation. Regarding Dev Anand's article, I'm sorry I couldn't help you now, this is because I wanted to concentrate Vyjayanthimala's article first. Maybe I could help you build the articles for Dev Anand - Vyjayanthimala's combo films, namely Amar Deep and Jewel Thief. Vyjayanthimala edit

Vyjayanthimala has had many hits paired opposite MGR and Sivaji Ganeshan too in Tamil. Plus Vyjantimala has many hits in 1960-1970.Can you name the films she did in Tamil and Hindi espeially citing which were hits etc..in 1960-1970 and also Tamil hits in 1949-1959. These facts do not find any mention inthe wiki article. Can you put them?Paglakahinka (talk) 04:55, 23 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

It's not necessary dude...cause some of her tamil films' source are from the hindu which is already there on the article itself..so I think...repeating source in the introductory section is sumhow...kinda waste...

I found some new sources, and I am planning to submit this for GA again. I don't know if its worth doing a peer review first. BollyJeff || talk 02:58, 12 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of File:Don Seenu Soundtrack.jpg edit

The file File:Don Seenu Soundtrack.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-free album cover being used in a decorative manner in Don Seenu#Soundtrack. Non-free album cover art is generally allowed to be used for primary identification purposes in stand-alone articles about albums, but its use in other articles is generally only allowed when the cover art itself is the subject of sourced critical commentary as explained in WP:NFC#cite_note-3 and the context for non-free use required by WP:NFCC#8 is evident. There is no such commentary for this particular album cover anywhere in the article, and the use of soundtrack album cover art in articles about films or TV programs is generally not allowed for this reason as explained in WP:FILMSCORE.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:27, 10 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
