edit

Hello, I'm McGeddon. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page Security seal, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. I reverted the additions as they were commercial sites, which should not be used as references if non-commercial sources are also available. If "most of the content on this page is in fact out of date" as you say, perhaps you could update the article text so that it's not out of date? All you did was add three links to the Mega Fortris site, one of them as an external link in the middle of a sentence. --McGeddon (talk) 08:16, 24 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ok thanks,I will update the content in due course. May I also ask for advice on pictures please as one of the pictures on the security seal page contains an image with a company commerical logo on it. Is this allowed? Thanks, --Pperry1808 (talk) 08:28, 24 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hadn't noticed the logo in the corner - a watermark usually means that it's a copyrighted image and Wikipedia shouldn't be using it. I'll take a look. --McGeddon (talk) 08:35, 24 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, just for the record Unisto are also a global manufacturer of security seals.--Pperry1808 (talk) 08:39, 24 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

The image has now been removed, having been uploaded as "for information purposes only", which is incompatible with Wikipedia's image usage policy. --McGeddon (talk) 10:54, 24 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
