June 2017 edit

Hello, Pnnduvall, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Leeann Cannon (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 17:58, 9 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi Pnnduvall. I did not check whether the latest effort to post an article on Rebekah Radice was also a copyright violation because I don't have access to LinkIn (though I'd note that it almost certainly confirms Drm310's post above, because how else would you have posted an article with the G12 tag still in place?) but deleted it as an absolutely stunning piece of blatant promotional advertising. Wikipedia is not an advertising platform and no article reading anything like this will ever be allowed to remain.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 22:30, 9 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi Fuhghettaboutit. How is the Rebekah radice page any different than this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_Kawasaki ? They are peers and the same type of content appears there. Please explain. Also, the page was edited and there was no longer any copyright issues.--Pnnduvall (talk)
If the Guy Kawsaki article was in similar shape, then WP:WAX would apply. But it is not. The article you posted was an utter panegyric, filled with gems like: "It also lit the entrepreneur fire within her that still burns bright today."--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 22:56, 9 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Hi Fuhghettaboutit. Thank you for clarifying. Not sure why you are so rude. I've never posted anything on WIkipedia so i'm learning as I go. I hope your mood improves (or at least you stop being rude to strangers). --Pnnduvall (talk)
Hello Pnnduvall. If you have an existing relationship outside of Wikipedia with Rebekah Radice, the person you wrote about, you should be aware of the following:
  1. Writing about a family member, friend, work colleague or employer is considered a conflict of interest (COI). Wikipedia discourages users from writing about subjects with which they have a COI because of the inherent difficulty maintaining the required neutral point of view.
  2. If you are employed by this person, or are representing her in a paid capacity, you are required by Wikipedia's terms of use to disclose this information. Concealing such information is grounds for your account to be blocked.
  3. If you are the same person as the individual who uses the Leeann Cannon account, then this is considered sockpuppetry. A person is not allowed to access multiple accounts for improper purposes.
  4. Using copyrighted material is not permitted on Wikipedia, even if you are the copyright holder or the copyright holder has given you permission to use it. In short, a copyright owner cannot offer Wikipedia a one-time license for use. Rather, the copyright to the material has to be released – permanently and irrevocably – into the public domain or under a free copyright license that is compatible with Wikipedia's licenses. This is because Wikipedia aims to be freely distributable and copyable by anyone, so all content must be licensed for that purpose. You can learn more about this policy at Wikipedia:Copyrights.
In short, never write about your employer/company/friends/family, or use copyrighted material, or operate multiple accounts.
If none of these apply to you, then please forgive the strong wording. It is unfortunately necessary because many users mistakenly believe that Wikipedia can be used for publicity and promotion of a person, product, company or cause they are involved with. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 07:55, 10 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Hi Drm310. Thanks for your response. I am not Leeann Cannon. I have no affiliation with Rebekah Radice and have never met her. No do I do any business with her. Leeann Cannon is a friend and asked me to post an objective, unbiased info page on her. I am not getting paid to do so. I'm hoping this doesn't violate any terms. Please let me know. --Pnnduvall (talk)
