I have a book by Samuel Charters published in 1958 called Jazz New Orleans (1885-1963: An Index To The Negro Musicians Of New Orleans. I've added it to the list of books at the end of the article, but have not submitted a change to the para beginning "Chaters began his writing career in 1959 with The Country Blues as I don't know who authored the original article and don't wish to step on any toes. Guidance greatly appreciated.
Note: My edition was revised in 1963. It was orginally published in 1958 by Walter C. Allen, so maybe this should simply be listed as a 1963 publication.
