- Exactly. And if you did, that would be original research which by policy is not allowed to form the basis of Wikipedia articles. Basically, all statements made or added to an article need a verifiable reliable source citation; and the source needs to directly make the point being made, so Wikipedia editors don't make up stuff, or draw conclusions that are not present in the source itself.
