Proposed deletion of Base 48

The article Base 48 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There is no indication of any widespread use of a Base 48 system. While one can theoretically create a positional numeral system based on any radix, there doesn't appear to be any literature for a system based on a radix of 48. This leads to the conclusion that this topic may have been made up by the article's author.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Please do not add or change content, as you did to Byte, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. The statement "(8 bits are not divisible into 10, bit is used for approximation)" in the context of meaning either a decibel or a decibyte appears to be original research, and is apparently not notable. My previous edit summary may have been too brief, but your revert of my previous removal of this text should have been accompanied with a motivating edit summary. —Quondum 14:26, 14 April 2015 (UTC)
