Barrett edit

I changed the intro, but I think you will be happy with it. I re-inserted the original sentence, and then used your source and ideas in a second, explanatory sentence. I don't know if you understood what I was saying before, but the NYT article is a great source for saying he didn't teach CT; but it isn't an appropriate source to back up the "muslim majority" assertion, or the "politician explanation", as it is completely silent on both issues. I looked through all the edits and, while I could be wrong about this, it appears you were using the NYT article as a source for the text you removed from the article, not the text you put in. (That is, you took out the "teaching CT", put in "muslim perspective", and then sourced the NYT article-but the NYT article only supported taking out " definitely teaching CT", it didn't support the text you were adding.) Anyway, especially in controversial subjects, you should try to make sure that you are correctly sourcing the assertions you made in the text. BTW, it is a great point you have raised (to clarify what has happened since he was suspected of teaching CT). I'll look later to see your thought. Please take the time to read about the three-revert rule. It's application and details are not self-evident. Thanks, Tom Harrison Talk 04:32, 1 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Sevenblowsmulti.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Sevenblowsmulti.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr 20:43, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Divine Songs Album cover.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Divine Songs Album cover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 21:51, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
