Maryse Letarte is a songwriter born in Québec. She has been revealed to the public with his album «Des pas dans la neige» published in 2008. This refreshing album reinvented the Christmas album by proposing totally new original Christmas songs.

Youngest daughter of math teacher Jean-Marc Letarte, Maryse gets a DEC diploma in classical piano and a DEC diploma in composition and arrangements at Cégep Saint-Laurent. She will then fly to the Grove School of Music in Los Angeles to complete his compositions. In 1993, she recorded with the participation of local producer Gerry Plamondon an album under the pseudonym Rita Rita. But this record is experiencing a failure despite promotion by Kasma Music, the label of Gerry Plamondon.

So Maryse Letarte takes a break to return to the label in April 2001 Musicomptoir Raymond Paquin in with the album "En Dedans" performed under his real name. A year later, she and her manager Francis Macdonald founded MJM Disks to recover the rights on this album. The second edition was released in December 2002 on Select Distribution network.

In August 2004, the MJM discs become Rococo Records with the release of the album "Le motif".

In 2008, the album "Des pas dans la neige" put on the market by Disques Artic (Raymond Duberger). Maryse will be recognized by the Québec critics has the one who recreated the Christmas album. Years after years since then, stores are unable to have enough copies of the disks to satisfy public needs. "Des pas dans la neige" is now known has THE Christmas album you must have.

In 2010, another album "Ni le feu, ni le vent" will be as successful.

In 2012, Germany discovered "Des pas dans la neige" album. Critics has been great and the album was in the Top 10 Christmas album Germans must have by the press.
