Please Unblock Me

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Autoblock #1871767 lifted or expired.

Request handled by: --auburnpilot talk

Unblocking administrator: Please check for active autoblocks on this user after accepting the unblock request.

Happy to help. Please keep in mind that Wikipedia policy requires that accounts be held by a single person, and are not to be used in any role that would lead to a violation of our neutral point of view policy. In other words, it's great to contribute to Wikipedia on your own behalf, but not on the behalf of an organization in an attempt to skew things towards the point of view the organization supports. I hope you enjoy contributing here, and please feel free to let me know if you have any questions. --auburnpilot talk 18:29, 5 April 2010 (UTC)Reply
Our page regarding conflicts of interest basically states that a problem arises when your editing is done in order to advance the viewpoint/interests of your company rather than to promote simple facts. Editing an article on a company you work for is not forbidden, but taking extra care to ensure you are sticking to the facts is very important. I frequently edit articles related to my hometown, university, and companies that I've worked for. But I stick to the facts and don't attempt to promote or further a point of view not supported by fact and reliable sources. --auburnpilot talk 18:41, 5 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

To CobaltBlueTony, et al.

edit

I apologize for blatantly breaking a rule by using the Rollinsnews account. I admit that I had not carefully read the rules and am completely at fault. I'm asking you to remove the ban on my personal account, not the Rollinsnews account, as my very first edit in February 2009 had nothing to do with Rollins College. My June 2009 edits had to do with an alum of Rollins but were edits I made on my personal time that had nothing to do with my job. I had been made aware of an interesting fact and thought I would share it. I even found citations to add.

While I am no doubt a newb, I promise I will be a good Wikipedian in the future. When I see things I don't understand, I research them (hence the recent creation of this talk page) and I will try not to break any more rules in the future.

I understand that the autoblock is for 24 hours. The reason I am requesting to be unblocked now is that Fetchcomms has agreed to update a logo for me and requested that I provide the link. I can't do that while I am blocked. I would greatly appreciate it if you could unblock my personal account PicsByK.

Hello there!

edit

Let me thank you for persisting and reading up on what transpired here. I'm glad you understand the reason for my initial block, and I'm even more appreciative that you're intentions are to work with the project! A level-headed individual such as yourself is sorely needed here, and I hope to see more good work from you in the future. Please feel free to ask me or any other experienced editor for assistance. Welcome! CobaltBlueTony™ talk 18:37, 5 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

P.S. I've moved your user boxes to your user page (instead of here on the talk page) as that's where most people put them. You can change it back if you'd rather have therm here. Cheers! CobaltBlueTony™ talk

Royal Day Out moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Royal Day Out, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
