Wikiproject Spam
editHello! I happened upon the DarkComet article when I noticed irregularities with the external links on the page, specifically regarding which website is the real website of the software. Given that this is a hacking/remote administration tool, I surmised that at least one of the websites is fake. Given the lack of reliable media sources that directly tell you which is the official site, I removed the URL entirely, deeming the cited source to be insufficiently reliable. I also noticed a technical irregularity with the page when I tried to remove the URL from the infobox. Given the fact that this does relate to hacking, I was suspicious and brought it to here, where I mentioned your account: Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Spam#DarkComet. I do not wish to suggest that you are the one hacking or trying to spam, per WP:Assume good faith but I believe that this must be solved with administrator intervention. --Leugen9001 (talk) 04:17, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
Hello again! I have found a reliable source (Wired Magazine) stating that the website with the dash (the one you tried to insert) is the right one. I have re-added the website. I am keeping the noticeboard posts because the article is still not protected. --Leugen9001 (talk) 04:56, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
Hello again! I removed my spam noticeboard message because I figured out the right link and because the phrozensoft link is from WikiSource and I didn't know about it. False alarm! :) I am keeping the protection noticeboard message to try to get the page protected. --Leugen9001 (talk) 05:59, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
