Wow

edit

Image:Wrights Lake.jpg is a seriously awesome picture, thanks for uploading it! I hope I can encourage you to continue to upload your work to Wikipedia. I am even going to consider nominating this for a featured picture. Also, you may want to consider uploading some of your pictures to the Wikimedia Commons so that all of the different language projects can make use of them. Again, thanks for the picture, and let me know if there is anything I can do to help out. --Hetar 03:55, 31 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

You do have a lot of great images, I just thought Wrights Lake image might best meet the criteria listed at Wikipedia:What is a featured picture?. At any rate, you can check out the current nomination and see how it's progressing at Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates/Wrights Lake. --Hetar 04:17, 31 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wow, more great images! I think one of the Tower Bridge images might also work well for a FP if it can be worked into a good article. I loved Sierra Nevada by Night too --Hetar 04:35, 31 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

I went ahead and fixed the page for you by creating a redirect. All the relevant details can be found at Help:Redirect. Also, I would recommend reading Help:Move as well. Let me know if I can be of help in any other way. --Hetar 04:28, 4 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Congratulations on the Tower Bridge Picture, looks like it made it to FP! --Hetar 05:04, 10 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Well, I guess no one has technically promoted it yet, but it has been seven days, and you can see that it's an obvious consensus in the image's favor. Remember, Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates/Tower Bridge, Sacramento is where you can check the current recommendations. If other editors forgot to credit you in the Image Descriptions, just edit the image page to include your information :). --Hetar 03:18, 12 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Twin Lakes Trailhead

edit

The article Twin Lakes Trailhead has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not a notable trail.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Andy Lewis (performer)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Andy Lewis (performer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
