Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ashley Hicks, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Aka (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Your recent editing history at Prince Gustaf Adolf, Duke of Västerbotten shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
Please note that you have broken the rule already by performing 4 reverts in 24 hours: [1][2][3] [4]. DrKay (talk) 16:50, 14 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Approaching edit-war

edit

For the second time you have a removed an factual edit with no relevant basis. Please refrain from removing 'prince' from the title of Ivan Sergeyevich Obolensky or I will involve other parties in order to solve the dispute. Please look at http://russiannobility.org/2019/01/29/passing-of-ivan-sergeievich-obolensky/, which states he is a Prince. You have not provided any sources or basis to your claim that he cannot hold the title, which he does. Once again, please do not remove the title from his name. Eritrusia (talk) 22:26, 7 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please stop reinsert the 'Prince' title in his name. Your use of this society title "Prince" is on the basis of this source: http://russiannobility.org/2019/01/29/passing-of-ivan-sergeievich-obolensky/ a source which is not neutral... the Russian nobility association of course uses the title 'Prince' to announce the death of one of its member. Even if this courtesy title is genuine, unlike a surname, it cannot stand the time if legally attached to a legally abolished regime (unlike the British titles).
Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(royalty_and_nobility)#Hypothetical,_dissolved_and_defunct_titles : Do not use hypothetical, dissolved or defunct titles, including pretenders (real or hypothetical), unless this is what the majority of reliable sources use. Hello Waxworker, thank you for your message. I've just provided a source, to the added content in the article Dani Kind, and that I believe to be reliable. I let you check to this if you want. Thank you.

The cited source doesn't appear to be reliable - Plex doesn't clarify where the information in its 'Discover Credits' bios comes from, I looked over some posts from Plex support and they don't discuss their veracity. Plex is often used with web scrapers for its media library, so the information may be taken from IMDB, which is unreliable per WP:IMDB. Sourcing standards for WP:DOB are stringent.   Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Tord Magnuson. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. Thank you Kellycrak88 for your answer, I repeat WP:Self-published websites (about unreliable sources) Philotam (talk) 11:25, 25 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
There is plenty more sources which I will add to the page. You are also removing titles including subsidiary and primary titles like the Earldom which is in italics. The formatting of the page is very clear and I quote: Titles in italics are subsidiary baronial titles held by the same baron. Titles linked and with The before the name is the holder's primary title. Kellycrak88 (talk) 11:53, 25 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm going to undo your changes as you've deleted barons and their titles - I will also add further sources but as a compromise I will remove the HM and HRH prefixes which is I believe is causing contention? fair? Kellycrak88 (talk) 14:58, 25 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
