Speedy deletion nomination of Hafs Al-Gazzi
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Hafs Al-Gazzi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Wgolf (talk) 02:39, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

Request reason:
I think I have been blocked by mistake. I believe that I have done nothing wrong. Also, I noticed that the IP address in my block message is not mine, although Wikipedia acts as though it is. I do not know the reason to which this is so, or the reason of why I have been blocked.
Decline reason:
I do not see a block on this account directly. To better help, we need to know the exact message you were given; please copy and paste it here; however, since you state that you know the IP address given as yours is not yours, you likely are using a VPN or proxy to edit, you will need to disable it. 331dot (talk) 10:33, 9 March 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

An extended welcome
editHi Catinthedogs. Welcome to Wikipedia. I've added a welcome message to the top of this page that gives a great deal of information about Wikipedia. I hope you find it useful.
Additionally, I hope you don't mind if I share some of my thoughts on starting out as a new editor on Wikipedia: If I could get editors in your situation to follow just one piece of advice, it would be this: Learn Wikipedia by working only on non-contentious topics until you have a feel for the normal editing process and the policies that usually come up when editing casually. You'll find editing to be fun, easy, and rewarding. The rare disputes are resolved quickly and easily.
Working on biographical information about living persons is far more difficult. Wikipedia's Biographies of living persons policy requires strict adherence to multiple content policies, and applies to all information about living persons including talk pages.
If you have a relationship with the topics you want to edit, then you will need to review Wikipedia's Conflict of interest policy, which may require you to disclose your relationship and restrict your editing depending upon how you are affiliated with the subject matter. Regardless, editing in a manner that promotes an entity or viewpoint over others can appear to be detrimental to the purpose of Wikipedia and the neutrality required in articles.
Some topic areas within Wikipedia have special editing restrictions that apply to all editors. It's best to avoid these topics until you are extremely familiar with all relevant policies and guidelines.
I hope you find some useful information in all this, and welcome again. --Ronz (talk) 16:22, 9 March 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Michael Trapson discography
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Michael Trapson discography requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article does not exist or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Ymblanter (talk) 07:44, 22 March 2019 (UTC)
The article This Is Lit has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
studio album by a non-notable musician is not in itself notable
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
Connection to Michael Trapson?
editYou have created articles for Michael Trapson, his discography and his studio album. I have to ask, is this because of either a personal or paid relationship? If so, either should have been declared on your User page (no longer needed if all created articles deleted). David notMD (talk) 16:09, 22 March 2019 (UTC) This is not because of any kind of relationship.
- The only reason I am creating these articles is that I think that Michael Trapson may be notable enough to have a short Wikipedia article. These articles have now all either been nominated for speedy deletion or deleted., although I do not know why these are not notable enough for Wikipedia. Though, I don't want to contest the speedy deletions, because I think that will cause more of a problem. Catinthedogs (talk) 03:31, 23 March 2019 (UTC)
- Thank you for clarifying absence of conflict of interest WP:COI. Notability for music and musicians has its own criteria. See Wikipedia:Notability (music). In many instances it is WP:TOOSOON for notability in the Wikipedia sense to be achieved. I hope you continue to find articles of interest to edit, and perhaps topics worthy of their own articles.
