S. Fischer Verlag edit

You need to add some information to this article - if only who the business is, and a brief note on what makes them interesting - or it may be speedy deleted for being 'empty' (external links aren't really content). See our guide to the perfect stub for more information. --Malthusian (talk) 22:39, 23 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Date Wikilinking edit

You may want to note that per WP:DATE, years alone (without month or day) are generally not wikilinked, because they do not need to be formatted. —Mets501talk 14:20, 13 May 2006 (UTC) ok, thanks. Good to know.Reply

Quote edit

In response to
Hi. The quotation you mention is from JRR Tolkien, and not, as often stated, from JRR Tolkein.

Sorry for being meticulous. Perhaps this website might be interesting for you. About the Birthday Toast On the 3rd January 1892 JRR Tolkien was born in Bloemfontein, South Africa. To celebrate this event, on this day each year Tolkien fans around the world are invited to raise a glass and toast the birthday of this much loved author.

The toast is "The Professor".

For those unfamiliar with British toast-drinking ceremonies: To make the Birthday Toast, you stand, raise a glass of your choice of drink (not necessarily alcoholic), and say the words 'The Professor' before taking a sip (or swig, if that's more appropriate for your drink). Sit and enjoy the rest of your drink.

Disclaimer: The organisers do not condone drinking alcohol if it endangers the health or safety of the drinker or others, or contravenes the law.

Please support complement EU !!! edit

Hi,as a EU supporter maybe you´d like to support this: I´m trying to implement the 'EU' in the city-templates of European city articles. The EU should be mentioned next to the country; like country : Spain / EU Please support the enhancement in these templates and argue for the innovation if you want to. Would be great.

Tutelage edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Tutelage, by 195.33.105.17 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Tutelage fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:

Should be deleted to make space for the rewriting of a new article. The previous redirect was not helpful, a redirect to Tutor would be better but the best is to delete this page so someone can start an article on the lemma Tutelage here that explains the various meanings of the word and its use in different areas.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Tutelage, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 13:38, 12 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
