Speedy deletion nomination of Digital Content Marketing conference edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Digital Content Marketing conference, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. AllyD (talk) 11:50, 21 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Internal audit. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Kuru (talk) 01:03, 29 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Corporate university. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Fleming Europe WP:COI edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.

Hello, Peterkortvel. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.--Hu12 (talk) 13:32, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I was able to add 2 more sources about the 6th Annual Collateral Management as the conference has finished already. Please look at it. Thank you very much

Hi Peter, I am back at last from a long wikibreak. Your sources are a little better, but notability is still an issue (ie the conference does not appear to be important enough to get wide press coverage). The article content is also, in my honest opinion, a little light. Re the 6th CMC, you make some general comments on the conclusions, which are not directly substantiated by sources, and then quote one (important) delegate. If you say something like, "regulation changes caused by crisis" you need to specify the regulation changes and specify the crisis (or crises).
But don't go to the trouble, as the article cannot be accepted unless it meets notability criteria. You seem to have had a lot of rejections, many of which have a common basis (across different article topics). I suggest it is time to ask yourself, "What am I doing wrong?" Since you are still trying, you may really want to contribute something worthwhile, in which case I suggest you consider any new article topic first in the light of "How important is it, not to me, but to most other people in the world?" Secondly, be careful not to even look like you are promoting any company or organization. As far as CMC is concerned, it does not look like being accepted in the foreseeable future. If I can help you any further, please contact me on my talk page: I will be active on Wikipedia for the next two months. David_FLXD (Talk) 17:40, 23 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines.

And once again, please review WP:COI which appears to apply. --Ronz (talk) 15:41, 18 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
