This is your Talk page where you can receive messages from other Wikipedians and discuss things with them. At the end of your messages you must put your signature by signing with four ~~~~ (just as I have done) or by pressing the button in the editor bar as shown here in the picture. By the way, you don't need to sign edits that you make in the articles themselves as those messages will be deleted. Another valuable page that may provide information and assistance is User:Persian Poet Gal/"How-To" Guide to Wikipedia. My name is Buster7. If you have any questions or face any initial hurdles, feel free to contact me on my talk page and I will do what I can to assist or give you guidance and contact information. Good Luck editing!

April 2014 edit

Robin Rishworth (a map maker by profession) is a triathlete and runner who, among other achievements, won the 1989 Empire State Building climb in New York in 11 minutes and nine seconds (http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/1989-02-10/news/8902110063_1_draftsman-melbourne-50-seconds). His achievement in cycling the Canning Stock Route (CSR) has not previously been recognised on this page . I wanted to correct this oversight!

One could argue that the CSR page should not contain a complete list of achivements, and I totally agree. Rishworth is recognised as the first modern day cyclist who completed the CSR by himself (solo) without assistance other than pre-laid food drops. Compare this with Postrzygacz who did it solo AND unassisted WITHOUT pre-laid food drops. Who was first? Clearly Robin was, but by most people's reckoning, this does not eclipse Jakub's more recent achievement.

Re: Use of either+or in the negative vs. neither+nor in the positive edit

Hi Peter, perhaps it's a subtle change in the language ... I'm not sure. I for one have generally preferred either/or to neither/nor in all cases, but I'm not hellbent on it.

Also, your signature isn't formatted correctly – it should contain a link to your user page. To fix this, please uncheck the box that says "Treat the above as wiki markup ..." in the "User profile" section of your preferences. Graham87 06:07, 4 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Graham - Yep, updated the prefs. Seems to be working (yes?) - thanks.Peter Gargano (talk) 06:24, 4 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
