WP:MED edit

Great to hear you are coming to edit emergency / EMS articles. One document which is going to generate a lot of work here is the new ACLS / BLS guidelines that are coming out in Oct of 2010. This will mean we will have a new 300 page document and all Wikipedias ACLS content will need updating. This here also makes up the core of much of EMS / ER training.

Between now and than here is a great document that list evidence for all of EMS practives. [1] You could use the PMID number there in this tool [2] to properly format the refs and make sure Wikipedia is congruent with it. Let me know if you have any questions. Islamic Terrorism Page Edit edit

If it is "unconstructive" to add Christian terrorism to a list of similiar topics on the Islamic Terrorism page then why is "Islamic Terrorism" listed on the Christian Terrorism page, as well as "Sikh Extremism"? I do not see how linking religious terrorism pages can be found "unconstructive" since people studying Islamic terrorism are likely to want to read about terrorism from other Religions, especially terrorism from another Abrahamic Religion, but please correct the Christian Terrorism page as well if you are to be consistent with your view of what is and is not constructive. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.100.17.242 (talk) 00:29, 30 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Chick-fil-A's sponsorship edit

You removed a reference regarding Chick-fil-A's sponsorship of a golf tournament benefiting a group whose website compares homosexuality to bestiality, incest, rape and pedophilia, stating this information was not constructive. This information is extremely important and relevant for others to see, so that individuals can judge for themselves whether or not to patronize Chick-fil-A. The links provided show irrefutably Chick-fil-A's sponsorship of this tournament, and the only way for others to understand what this sponsorship entails, is to include information regarding the organization itself, along with its beliefs.

There are a lot of internet rumors regarding Chick-fil-A supporting anti-gay groups, and this is clear evidence showing their support. I re-edited your edits, so hopefully this relevant and constructive information can remain. I took pains to objectively summarize the information on their website, rather than call them "anti-gay" or otherwise label them judgmentally.

THanks.

1) I will take down your warning, 2) Sorry about warning you, "homosexuality, bestiality, incest and rape" are words we like to avoid wikipedia. I will however NOT revert the page back to your edits. 3) I would thumb over NPoV to avoid any other warnings. Peter.C • talk 20:35, 31 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:ARMA_2_OperatonA.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading File:ARMA_2_OperatonA.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 03:08, 4 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I have completed a general cleanup of the adopter information page for the adopt-a-user project, located here. During my cleanup, I have removed several inactive and retired users. In order to provide interested adoptees with an easy location to find adopters, it is essential that the page be up-to-date with the latest information possible. Thus:

  • If you are no longer interested in being an adopter, please remove yourself from the list.
  • If you are still interested, please check the list to see if any information needs to be updated or added - especially your availability. Thank you.
  • You are receiving this message because you are listed as an adopter here.

ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead EU publisher edit

Hello

I still think a citation is needed on whether or not 505 Games is the publisher in Europe.

The source you've posted is inconsistent as their product line does not include "ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead" nor any referenace to "ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead" on their website (505 Games). Futher more, the European box art does not include any sort of reference to 505 Games, neither as in logo or in text, this also includes the manual.

However, there are some disputed e-mails [4]&[5] on the Bohemia Interactive Studio's Forums that both confirms and denies 505 Games as the European publisher. So for this reason I have sent an e-mail to 505 Games questioning whether or not they where the publishers of "ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead" in Europe or elsewhere.

What... edit

...are you doing again. Do the Pichilemu articles make any harm to you? Do you get annoyed when you see them? If you are going to respond your hometown does not have articles on their organizations, then go ahead and create them, but your arrogance is begginning to annoy me. Diego Grez (talk) 13:30, 30 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

I do not think they pass WP:NOTE. While yes they are important for your town they should not have their own article. I would recommended merging some of the article you have made into the main article. Also you should never remove templates without fixing the issue like you did with Pichilemu town hall which I will retag in a moment. Peter.C • talk 14:15, 30 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
There are tons of other and much less notable articles than these hanging around the wiki. You just do it because you can't find another good excuse. Diego Grez (talk) 14:17, 30 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Personally I am saying that you have a bit of a conflict of interest when it comes to your town since well....it's your now :P. Some of the articles you have made are note notable enough to have their own page on Wikipedia. I would recommended that you merge some of those article into the main article on your town (which actually might help bump it up to FA class). Peter.C • talk 14:23, 30 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Actually, no, they won't "bump it up to FA class", and why are you even advising me about that when you don't even have one GA. So, I live in the Vatican, and I have a conflict of interest with the Roman Catholic Church. No, sir. I live in Chile, I have a conflict of interest with the miners. No, sir. You are misunderstanding policies, and I recommend you to stay away from the Pichilemu articles, which 1) You have no interest on referencing, but you are interested to make them look horrible with these tags (why?) 2) You only look for their deletion. Diego Grez (talk) 14:29, 30 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Just want to point out I helped get Marco Polo up to a GA. When I say "help bump it up" to a FA I mean that you would be adding some good facts to your article that would benefit your town better then having it all spread out. I am only trying to help Wikipedia by adding those tags and (unlike you have claimed before) have no bias against you. Peter.C • talk 14:33, 30 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

We meet outside by the trees at 5:00 PM.

Our next Wikipedia NYC Meetup is this weekend on Saturday Dec 4 at Brooklyn Museum during their awesome First Saturdays program, starting at 5 PM.

A particular highlight for the wiki crowd will be 'Seductive Subversion: Women Pop Artists, 1958–1968', and the accompanying "WikiPop" project, with specially-created Wikipedia articles on the artists displayed on iPads in the gallery.

This will be a museum touring and partying meetup, so no excuses about being a shy newbie this time. Bring a friend too!

It seems odd that you chose to remove both of these and issue a double vandalism/barring order. While not mainstream medicine,Beck has conducted research worth referencing at least.--Tumadoireacht (talk) 15:39, 7 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

I did not revert any of them, it was reverted by someone else and I decided to add warning to your talk page. Whether it was you or one of your sycophantic followers it is all the same. How pompous that you feel you can determine what people want when they look up a name.--Tumadoireacht (talk) 03:18, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Just a reminder, please be civil while using talk pages. As stated before you are free to make an article about the disputed subject matter and then you can add a link to it on the disambiguation page. Peter.C • talk 03:41, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Adoption edit

Thank you so much for agreeing to adopt me. :)

There is a lot that I still need to learn, and I am glad you will help me through it.

You mentioned that you spend most of your time on medical articles, what exactly do you focus on? Writing articles, expanding them?

Cheers! -- Lord Roem (talk) 22:55, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

I spend most of my time on emergency medicine articles. I also have created a few DYK trauma articles and plan to make some more soon. I also preform general edits on medical articles I stumble upon. Peter.C • talk 23:54, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Interesting stuff. I plan to write articles on Supreme Court cases, but I'm sure there may be a time or two where the two subjects could find a similar issue. Are you an administrator? -- Lord Roem (talk) 00:02, 31 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Most articles are all alike. They all follow one central manual of style but their are some variants of it used by some projects. Since the law project does not seem to have a specialized MoS I should be able to help you. Also my father has been involved in some supreme court cases so if I have any issues I can always ask him. An no, I am not an administrator. By any chance do you know how to use IRC? If so join the freenode channel #Wikipedia-en and ask for Peter-C. If not, do you have some form of instant messaging client? I find it easier to connect instantaneously and without the hassle of checking my user page for fast pace conversations. Peter.C • talk 00:11, 31 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
I do have the ability to use IRC, and while I have rarely used it in the past, I can certainly use it in the future for discussions, conversations, etc. -- Lord Roem (talk) 02:15, 31 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
What is your timezone? When is a good time for me to try to teach you via IRC? Peter.C • talk 02:19, 31 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Eastern. I've never really used IRC, but starting now I'll probably be on in the late afternoons on the weekday and 1-5pm on Sunday. Just a rough guestimate. Lord Roem (talk) 05:46, 31 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
