January 2014 edit

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Persian Gulf naming dispute may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Sir Abu Nu’ayr. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Sam Sailor Sing 19:22, 23 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Ariaei Island‎ edit

You created Ariaei Island, essentially a verbatim copy of Sir Abu Nu’ayr with the important changes that the island's correct name allegedly is Ariaei Island (Persian:جزیره آریایی) reflecting its Persian history, and that the name Sir Abu Nu’ayr allegedly is fake. At the same time you redirected Sir Abu Nu’ayr to Ariaei Island. I have reversed the redirect, as the official name does seem to be Sir Abu Nu’ayr. I would like to add info on this supposed Ariaei Island to the article Sir Abu Nu’ayr, but no matter how I google I come up empty handed. Googeling "جزیره آریایی" I noticed, that the article was deleted on fa.wikipedia as a تخیلات, which I assume is a hoax. I'd like your comments here to the above observations and some good sources supporting the historical evidence of Ariaei Island (Persian:جزیره آریایی).   Please do not add or change content, as you did to Afghanistan Football Federation, without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Sam Sailor Sing 10:22, 25 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Ariaei Island edit

The article Ariaei Island has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I suspect this article essentially is a politically motivated hoax. It is an almost verbatim recreation of Sir Abu Nu’ayr with the important changes that the correct name alledgedly is Ariaei Island (Persian:جزیره آریایی), and that Sir Abu Nu’ayr should be a "fake name". Persianamin71 when creating this article redirected Sir Abu Nu’ayr to here. Problem however is, that while Sir Abu Nu’ayr is easily sourceable, Ariaei Island (Persian:جزیره آریایی) is absolutely not. The same user has created Ariaei Island on several Wikipedias, and it was notably deleted on on Farsi Wikipedia as a fantasy, which I assume is their equivalent of "hoax". A request for comment and addition of reliable sources from User:Persianamin71 has not been answered.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
