Speedy deletion of Sandsinker edit

A tag has been placed on Sandsinker, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD g11.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Bfigura (talk) 00:21, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have detagged the article, so you don't have anything to worry about. It was tagged in error. Sorry for the inconvenience, and welcome to Wikipedia! —Scott5114 00:33, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Martins krumins edit

A tag has been placed on Martins krumins requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JNW (talk) 21:49, 1 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ah, I have removed the deletion request. I think the article was tagged since it did not indicate that he was a nationally known artist (as opposed to, say, an amateur painter). My apologies for the inconvenience and I am curious to see how the article develops. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns (you can write a note on the bottom of my talk page User talk:TeaDrinker). Thanks again and best wishes, --TeaDrinker (talk) 03:05, 2 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:AUTUMN SMALL FILE.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:AUTUMN SMALL FILE.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 06:05, 10 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Mārtiņš Krūmiņš edit

I think the article is superb. I would be happy to move the article into the main article space, although when you want to do that is up to you. There's always more that can be done on an article, in this case, the first thing might be to add in-line references (I would be happy to help with that, if you'd like). You could consider an infobox (such as Template:Infobox Artist, seen in use here for example). But I would say you have done an outstanding job. I didn't see that the page had been deleted after I removed the speedy deletion tag (I thought there was adequate evidence of notability, although not conveyed entirely in the short article). I apologize for the hoops to jump through. Let me know if there is any way in which I can help. --TeaDrinker (talk) 21:30, 21 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello Teadrinker!

I think I've finished the article and would like to move it into the main article space. Your offer to do this for me is appreciated, especially since my mind is kind of zonked with all the Wikipedia "hoops".

I don't think that an infobox is necessary because the article is cluttered enough.

In-line references? I'll try to figure that one out. If you can think of any, please tell me and I'll add them. Also, I'll try to add links to and from other Wiki articles.

Thank you for your encouragement.

Your recent edits edit

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button   located above the edit window.   Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. ThemFromSpace 19:55, 2 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:IN REFUGEE CAMP.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:IN REFUGEE CAMP.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:14, 16 September 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 20:14, 16 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:BRICK KILNS.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:BRICK KILNS.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 11:37, 13 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
