Vocal Technique

edit

YOur article on vocal technique seems to seek to instruct on how to improve vocal technique, rather than just what vocal technique is. It might be more suitable for an entry in wikibooks.--Esprit15d 20:09, 28 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

  • I was afraid of that, but I figured it was better to just go for it... I am quite pleasantly surprised to see how quickly someone found a newbie messing things up... I'll contribute what I can to the article on singing and remove this one... if you think that's best. PeripheralV 20:15, 28 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
It's great you're so conscientious. And you left a message perfectly. Best wishes on your editing, and let me know if you need any help!--Esprit15d 20:26, 28 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • There's someone who opposes your proposal to merge this page... after thinking about his comment for a moment, I agree with him/her. Let's see if anyone else contributes an opinion before doing anything drastic. I realize that I caved too quickly and was too quick to undo my "mistake." Please bring anyone you know with vocal experience to bear on the topic.

No problem whatsoever. Just remember that articles are constantly being changed as different people come along and update them. I will gladly assist you with the article. Since you're interested in music, you might also be interested in the Music Portal. Welcome to Wikipedia! Madder 02:29, 29 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

(Added some action) (???)

edit

In case you saw my edit to Melissa Cross with edit summary "Added some action" and wondered what is up with that, you should know that I didn't realize that wiki markup was interpreted in edit summaries. What I typed was "Added some [[]] action." Had I known then what this mistake taught me, I would have typed "Added some <nowiki>[[]]</nowiki> action." Sorry I'm such a wikinewb.

Vocal Technique - references

edit

Hi PeripheralV, regarding the article Vocal Technique, just wondering if you could put in which parts of the article use the references listed at the bottom. To do this you just need to put next to the sentence which comes from that particular reference as an example:

<ref>Set Your Voice Free: How To Get The Singing Or Speaking Voice You Want, by Roger Love and Donna Frazier (ISBN 0-316-44158-9)</ref>

I haven't read these books (I'm assuming you have if you put them as references?) so I don't know which parts of the article use which source, so any help appreciated. Thanks :-) Madder 21:19, 7 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
