Waterloo--original research edit

Greetings. I removed an edit of yours to the song, Waterloo. It may be perfectly factual, but given that you didn't add a new reference, it constitutes original research. If you have a source to document the fact/assertion, please edit away. Regards Tapered (talk) 10:20, 20 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

I undid your redo. It's still original research. Explanation on Talk page of article. Let's continue discussion there, if at all. Tapered (talk) 07:31, 23 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Notice of No Original Research Noticeboard discussion edit

Hello, Percebushby. This message is being sent to inform you that a discussion is taking place at Wikipedia:No original research/Noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Tapered (talk) 23:38, 23 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hope you read DIY's commentary @ Waterloo Talk, and my subsequent comments. Nobody's questioning your judgment about the songs and their origins. If everyone could add their incisive comments to Wikipedia at will, the place would be much more an anarchic madhouse than it is now. Please try to envision that. I spotted the derivation of "Faded Love" from "My Darling Nelly Bly" six years ago, but was already familiar with the "rules of evidence," and posted the info on a Talk page. For Wikipedia to function in any orderly fashion, info needs to be from 'pre-vetted' sources. Regards Tapered (talk) 03:19, 25 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
