Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. --alidoostzadeh 15:48, 28 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Persian Gulf posts

edit

I've responded to your post in the discussion, and have been waiting for you to respond. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 04:24, 11 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I am findign it difficult to accept your point of view, but i can assure you that it doesn't have to do with your English language comprehension level. When you preface any comment of yours by starting a new section and providing the same citations. you are not reaching us. We know that Persian Gulf is used. We also know that the term 'Arabian Gulf' is controversial, but it is used as well. We are saying that because it is used, Wikipedia's policies dictate that it needs to be mentioned. Not given importance over the primary-recognized name, bur instead noted afterwards, and making sure people know it is controversial. I understand that you feel that this is a lie. There are citations that say the exact opposite of what you say, so adding UN citations is not helping. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 06:30, 15 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Persian Gulf mediation cabal case

edit

Just to let you know a discussion over the inclusion of "Arabian Gulf" in the lead of Persian Gulf has been opened over at the mediation cabal here. You are welcome to add your viewpoint to the discussion; as mediator, I look forward to a speedy conclusion to the case, and your input will help. CloudNine (talk) 21:06, 16 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I do advise you take part in the mediation discussion; your viewpoint may not otherwise be heard when a consensus is reached during the process. CloudNine (talk) 09:14, 19 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
