Scenic Railway edit

Some of the proposed changes in your edits might have been OK, but most were not. Source #3 states that the ride last operated in 2005, not 2006. You also removed information regarding the wooden structure being blown down during restoration. And finally in the "The ride" section, you attempted to add info about the Grade II status, but it was already in there in the previous sentence. Discuss here or on the article's talk page if needed. Thank you. --GoneIn60 (talk) 16:18, 23 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Re: Scenic Railway edit

The ride definitely operated in 2006; I know this because I personally rode it in that year. There is much confusion on the internet about this because the park "officially" closed in 2005 or earlier but the Scenic Railway continued to operate after this. The wooden structure being blown down was only a minor setback and is not the reason for the ride being late (the reason is that the trains are not ready). It is a completely insignificant event in the long history of this rollercoaster and should not feature on this page.

The information I added refers to the Grade II* listing status which is very different to Grade II listing. It was upgraded from Grade II to Grade II* which is highly significant as it elevates the listing status of this ride to (I believe) the top 20% of listed structures in the UK.

Thanks

Peter
