Regarding image at Stellar parallax edit

I appreciate the effort that went into the image, but it seems to me that the text on the image is too small to be legible and therefore unsuitable as a thumbnail on the side of the article. The old picture (admittedly ugly) had the benefit of letting the reader immediately understand that the near star's position relative to other stars looks different depending on Earth's position, which is the most basic piece of information to know regarding stellar parallax. You do have a fantastic explaination about what stellar parallax is; could you somehow incorporate this into the article body?   Ganbaruby!  (Say hi!) 10:13, 26 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, does this reach you? Yes, I realise the text in the images is problematic. Let me look at how I can incorporate the text into the article. One thing though: the reason I made my image is because the key thing to understand (the parallel lines trick, allowing identity of theta) is not clear from the current article, or from the images. It's not just an aesthetic change!

Give me some time to work on it please. Thanks!

@PdeQuant: I've see that you've made some edits to the article already. You might want to take a look at Help:Displaying a formula; that's how we can display formulas in a better way than plain text (though I have no idea how it works). Also, I'm not quite sure if inserting frameless images as what you have done is consistient with our manual of style, and verifiability might be a problem here... perhaps you can reach out to someone at Wikipedia:WikiProject Astronomy to check your work? I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

(P.S. Other editors don't get notifications that you have replied to them; the only reason I'm here is because I decided on a whim to check back on this page. To let another editor know you've replied, use the ping template, as I've done at the beginning of this message.)   Ganbaruby!  (Say hi!) 15:45, 26 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, thanks for the tips. I will follow up on all of them! 85.144.232.184 (talk) 17:08, 26 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
