Format issues

edit

I've been looking at your recent pipefish articles. Have a look at the updates I've made. In general, these relate to:

  1. Using proper syntax to use a single citation multiple times within an article (<ref name=...>)
  2. Using templates to cite websites ({{cite web}})
  3. Formatting external links so they have names, not just numbers
  4. Marking the articles as stubs

As you proceed with your article creations, please keep these things in mind. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 21:12, 24 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Redirects

edit

Hallo, When you create an article such as Stigmatopora narinosa with a bolded common name, please remember to provide a redirect from that common name. I've created Southern Gulf pipefish, but please do it yourself - redirects like this are important because (a) they help the reader find the article and (b) they reduce the risk of some careless editor in future creating a duplicate article. If there are multiple common names, make redirects from them all. If the common name is used for another species too, then you need to create a disambiguation page or add a "hatnote" to the other article. Thanks. PamD 10:24, 14 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
