Shared accounts edit

You referred to yourself as "we" on my talk page. Who do you mean by "we"? Please be aware that we do not allow shared accounts here, all accounts must be operated only by a single individual, not by organisations. SpinningSpark 21:02, 12 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

This is not a shared account, this is my own personal wikipedia account. However I am working with a few people (all with our own wikipedia accounts) to help refine wikipedia pages pertaining to HuffPost Live content and personnel. Sorry for the confusion! Thanks for restoring Caroline's page and answering my question. I'll read the guidelines you suggested and see what I can find to back up her notability and meet the requirements. In that case you have a Conflict of interest and should read that guideline also. It probably also means that you are a "paid editor". Please read that section in particular, you are required to disclose your interest by Wikimedia's Terms of Use.
I see that Caroline's page has almost immediately been nominated for deletion after restoration (I am not surprised at that for reasons I explained on my talk page). The debate is at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani which is where you should make your case for keeping the page. SpinningSpark 10:15, 13 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for all your help. Clearly I'm new here and I don't want to step on toes as I do deeply respect Wikipedia and the work all the editors do here. Full disclosure: I am the HuffPost Live Social Media Editor. Not sure if that falls under the "paid editor" category exactly as I'm not receiving pay for editing wikipedia specifically, I was simply asked to look into expanding our hosts' pages and making sure they're accurate and up-to-date if I have time this week. I've looked at Caroline's talk page and despite my best efforts to find more third party sources on her, I'm afraid you're probably right re: her notability. Unless I find anything to better the case for the article today, I'll stay out of the discussion. Thank you for your patience and help. Paulasrsly (talk) 18:20, 13 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
Well thank you for trying to comply. We get so many single issue people here who try and insist their way is better and end up getting blocked. On the paid editing issue, you are clearly getting paid by the HuffPost so to my mind you are a paid editor when editing HuffPost issues. I would advise you to make a declaration on your user page (not just this user talk page) to be on the safe side. That will satisfy the terms of use. SpinningSpark 22:00, 13 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
