edit

With respect to your edits at Professional Karate Association and Wikipedia:Pending changes/Feedback, you need to realise that you and your organisation do not own any Wikipedia article, and cannot dictate how it is edited. It is also important to realise that Wikipedia is not a vehicle for promotion or advertising of any sort. Finally, your edit to Wikipedia:Pending changes/Feedback was nothing to do with feedback about the "pending changes" feature of Wikipedia editing, and so was not appropriate for that page. Good morning sir. We are completely new to Wikipedia and appreciate your feedback. As you can imagine, the processes here can seem overwhelming to newbies. We can only guess how much you have to wade through as an administrator. It is our intention simply to create the appropriate forum to represent in this encyclopedia the history of the Professional Karate Association as it has been known to tens of millions of television viewers around the world. We learned of the Wikipedia Professional Karate Association article recently and we were under the impression changes could be made in the article and that it could be a good place to send people to other sites where the fighters and their fights could be seen. We inferred from the comments regarding spam that sending readers to sites where they make purchases was not acceptable, and I deleted those references immediately--but i left the matchups and the fighters that are in the library because they make up so much of the history of the Professional Karate Association.

It was our intention to indicate that John Persinger, who formed an organization with the same name) be recognized as having such an organization but to clarify that it has nothing to do with the PKA (the original 1974 Professional Karate Association now run by Joe Corley since 1977). Can you let me know if the new revision meets those criteria? In your research, can you Google Joe Corley PKA and John Persinger PKA to see the references to Mr. Persinger virtually all come from Wikipedia whereas the references to Joe Corley PKA are international in nature? If you can, we seek your guidance in the right way to accomplish what we seek to do. we thought perhaps a separate page like the one we set up Professional Karate and Kickboxing Association would be appropriate to avoid the 'Editing War' scenario. OK, I understand your points. I will try to look into this, but unfortunately I don't have time to do so now. If I haven't got back to you on this within a day or so please remind me on my talk page. JamesBWatson (talk) 13:41, 5 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
