Declare any connection edit

  Hello, PaulTapper. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Draft:NUGEN Audio, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. --Worldbruce (talk) 17:25, 25 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

User:Worldbruce - They have properly declared the COI on their user page. Robert McClenon (talk) 17:38, 25 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
User:Worldbruce Robert McClenon - Thank you for the feedback Worldbruce and Robert. I have tried to comply with the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guidance.
Ideally it would not be me creating the article Draft:NUGEN Audio. I did try posting it on Wikipedia:Articles_for_creation but that has a huge back-log.
So - I have tried to draft the article in as neutral a voice as possible (using other similar pages as a guide, eg- IZotope) and made heavy use of independent, published references. I believe the use of references (from many independent paper and e- magazines) demonstrates notability. I am very open to any suggestions on how to improve the article to make it publishable - please help me to improve it. PaulTapper (talk) 08:38, 26 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
User:PaulTapper - You probably mean that you requested at Requested articles, and that it has a huge backlog. In fact, I wouldn't even characterize it as having a backlog, because titles build up there for more than a year, and there is no effort to work off the requests. I would characterize it as a black hole. Some volunteer editors will work with special-interest editors, and some won't. I won't. I suggest that you ask for help at the Teahouse or a WikiProject. I am not sure what WikiProject would be able to help you, so I would ask that question at the Teahouse. Robert McClenon (talk) 13:48, 26 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
Robert McClenon - Yes, sorry, you're right it was Requested articles. Ok, I'll try to find a volunteer editor to help at the Teahouse. Thanks. PaulTapper (talk) 14:07, 26 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
