Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Hopefully you'll continue editing. My apologies for reverting your first edit – you made a small mistake. Invasive Spices (talk) 23 June 2022 (UTC)

Hello, thank you for your message. I have followed your new link, I believe the problem remains. The article is claiming 5-21% of all fixed carbon is transferred to the rhizosphere via exudates. You reference the review paper by Walker, linked here...

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1540314/

This article makes the 5-21% claim and refers to another paper by Marschner et al (1995), linked here...

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1111/j.1399-3054.1987.tb02861.x

This article concerns phytosiderophore activity in barley roots, which concerns iron uptake. The article makes no reference to carbon rhizodeposition, and the claim of 5-21% of photosynthetic carbon being exuded is absent. The best estimates we have of this are in the paper by Jones et al, linked here...

https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11104-009-9925-0

The most accurate estimate is ~5% of fixed carbon is rhizodeposited, given the difficulties in assessing, as the article describes. I hope you will include this in this article, many thanks for reading.

I have come round to your vaguer phrasing and more recent citation. I talked about this at Talk:Plant root exudates#Carbon content. — Invasive Spices (talk) 24 June 2022 (UTC)

Thank you for your respectful comments on this matter, it is much appreciated. I came to edit this because I attended a lecture recently by a well-known environment journalist who claimed root exudate carbon can exceed 40% of total fixation. I found this hard to believe and thought it would be best to update wikipedia, as it is here where many journalists get their facts and figures.

It was a pleasure to work with you on this, all the best in your work Patrick

Good that you were the one there and not myself then. I would have thought 40% credible.   You've brought a good manner and good facts to us here. Wishing you well. Invasive Spices (talk) 29 June 2022 (UTC)

May 2023 edit

Hello, I'm Wesoree. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to List of animal rights advocates—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. -- Wesoree (talk·contribs) 00:22, 9 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi Werosee,
Can you please confirm why you believe this addition is not constructive? Hitler was a passionate animal rights activist, for many reasons summarized on wikipedia, please see the link provided, I can provide more if necessary. It was not a trivial part of his psychology, given how uncommon animal rights activism was in Europe during Hitlers time, it is educational for all to know this about him.

Unless if you could find a reliable source that has it, it is considered original research. You could also go ahead and discuss at the talk page of the article, as Wikipedia needs reliable sources on that page. -- Wesoree (talk·contribs) 00:30, 9 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your message. I believe wikipedia needs reliable sources on all pages. I think the wiki page I originally posted provides reliable sources, but I will now source directly and post again.
Thank you for your assistance
