Article titles

edit

Can you make sure to properly space the article titles you're creating for Gray's Anatomy episodes, like Desire(Grey's Anatomy). It looks like everyone of your recent creations doesn't have the necessary space between the last character and the parenthetical. Please remember to do that in the future. Thanks. Shadowjams (talk) 04:08, 28 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for taking the time to create all of the articles. If you decide to create more episode articles, like for Grey's Anatomy (season 5), please make sure that you have a space between the episode name and the parenthesizes. For example, the 14th episode of season 5 would be: Beat Your Heart Out (Grey's Anatomy). I have cleaned up the articles that you created without the space, but if you could make sure that you create any new articles with a space, that would be great. Thanks. =) -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 04:46, 28 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to the page With You I'm Born Again (Grey's Anatomy). Blank pages can confuse readers, and are overall not helpful to the Wikipedia project; furthermore, blanking a page is not the same as deleting it.

If the article you blanked is a duplicate of another article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate revision. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please use the appropriate deletion process. Haunt You Every Day (Grey's Anatomy)

edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Haunt You Every Day (Grey's Anatomy), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://tvseriesepisodes.com/watch-greys-anatomy-season-4-episode-5-haunt-you-every-day-online. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 17:24, 28 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have removed the episode summaries from all of the articles that you created as they have all been copied verbatim from various sources. As noted above, such copying is a copyright violation and is not allowed on Wikipedia. Please do not create any further articles with summaries borrowed from other sites. Thank you. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:24, 29 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
It should come as no surprise that I've removed the plot summary of With You I'm Born Again (Grey's Anatomy) due to the fact that it was copied verbatim from another site. Dismas|(talk) 06:10, 30 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Deredith.jpeg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Deredith.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 05:05, 4 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Grey's Anatomy

edit

Hi, I've gone ahead and reverted all of your edits to the List of Grey's Anatomy episodes page and all the seas-related subpages, which I believe to be unhelpful and in some cases detrimental. My reasoning is as follows:

a) The colours chosen for the tables were done so to reflect the covers of the DVD artwork, this is common practice across Wikipedia and is the most reasonable and sensible solution to the colour issue. The colours you have reverted to have no bearing on the series or any DVD release, nor do they have anything to do with the actual show. Beyond looking pretty, I don't see why you would want to keep them.
b) You replaced the images of the DVD artwork, which reflects the colour scheme, and replaced them with promotional material, which is detrimental because it fails to distinguish and individualize each season page, which the DVD covers did.
c) Using brackets to denote a two-part episode as opposed to using commas or colons (i.e. Dream a Little Dream of Me (Part 1) vs. Dream a Little Dream of Me, Part 1) is also common practice on Wikipedia. Any episode list that uses anything other than brackets in this instance is likely an oversight and will be changed in the near future.

I have no problem assuming that your edits were made in good faith, but perhaps it would be better in future to discuss such drastic changes on the talk page before simply going ahead and making them. Thank you in advance for your co-operation. SchrutedIt08 (talk) 08:35, 1 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for File:Normal_greys-anatomy-promo-006.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Normal_greys-anatomy-promo-006.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Melesse (talk) 04:32, 2 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

I have tagged File:Normal_GREYSANATOMY_Y4_MktgAdArt_NEWvert~0.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. Hi. When you recently edited Scandal (TV series), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Guillermo Diaz (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
