Kunene River, Namibia

The Kunene River is one of the five perennial rivers in Namibia, and it gives a lot of benefits to those who are living nearby it. it give support to the Namibians people like San, Himbas those ethnic group do not rely depend on farmers.Like many years ago they used to depend on wild animals.its beneficiary for them now as the river provide them food,water, and fertile land.In Namibia there is a shortage of water living close to the river you can get enough water for your animals, irrigation crops, washing,bathing,drinking.These people they do fishing and then they sell fish to the Namibians people who are far apart then they get money.In that way they are satisfying their need and want by those money they get from selling fish.Some they even started their small business,especially young people who do not have job and these people they have access to travel for trading by boats.But during the rainy season this people are really suffering from the flood.Their home and stuffs are destroyed during that time, most of them are relocated to the dry part of the country.The government cost a lot of money to save people from the flood.
