Parminder Gill

edit

I have deleted all versions of the article that you have created. The article has been deleted after Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Parminder Gill; it is not appropriate to permanently host a copy of a deleted article in your user space - Wikipedia is not a hosting service. In addition, you have been misusing talk pages (see the user space and talk page guidelines). An article talk page serves to discuss the contents of the article and suggest its improvements; a user talk page serves to communicate with the user. Again, they do not serve to host article drafts, and especially not copies of articles previously deleted in a deletion debate. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 13:02, 9 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Parminder Gill

edit

Hi, I'm JamesG5. Parminderbarnala, thanks for creating Parminder Gill!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Page is uncategorized, see WP:CAT. Section formatting is all wrong, complete reformatting needed. Page is partially in Hindi, needs to be all in English. Only source is subject's own sites and IMDB, article must have third party reliable sources and footnotes (see WP:REFBEGIN) added.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

  • I have deleted the page again; it is still nearly identical to an article which was previously deleted by a deletion debate. If you want to challenge the deletion, please go to deletion review. (And for the last time, please stop copying the article to its talk page. That's not what the talk page serves for.) - Mike Rosoft (talk) 16:49, 10 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Parminderbarnala

edit

A tag has been placed on User:Parminderbarnala requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. • I have deleted all versions of the article from your user space once again, and blocked you from editing for a week for misuse of Wikipedia. For the last time: if you disagree with the deletion, then don't post copies of the deleted article into your user space (especially not in multiple places at the same time); instead, please challenge the deletion at deletion review. (Further re-creations of the article will result in an indefinite block. Consider yourself warned!) - Mike Rosoft (talk) 13:29, 11 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

I am afraid I have blocked you from editing until further notice, for constant misuse of Wikipedia for self-promotion and re-creation of a deleted article in user space. (I am willing to lift the block, as long as you promise not to re-create the article unless its deletion has been overturned at deletion review.) - Mike Rosoft (talk) 19:17, 14 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

What's the reason then. deleted article — Preceding unsigned comment added by Parminderbarnala (talkcontribs)

  • The reason, as I have said above, is that you have been constantly using Wikipedia as a hosting service and/or for self-promotion. Neither repeated warnings and deletions of the article, nor a week-long block has dissuaded you from continuing to re-create it. For this reason, it appears that creating an article about yourself is your sole purpose on Wikipedia and that you don't intend to contribute constructively to the project. As such, I have blocked your account until further notice. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 05:12, 10 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Punjabi kalchar.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Punjabi kalchar.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 11:59, 28 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
