Welcome! edit

Hi, Parkermax, and Welcome to Wikipedia!

Welcome to Wikipedia!   I hope you enjoy the encyclopedia and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the simplified ruleset. Of the many ways to get help on Wikipedia, I personally recommend our wiki-boot camp, where you can chat online with fellow Wikipedians willing to help, or see some of the resources on WP:Wc!

Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have, on my talk page - I'm happy to help.

Here are some more resources to help you as you explore and contribute to the world's largest encyclopedia...

Michael Satter edit

I believe you may have included sources in this article that relate to a different police officer named Michael Satter. Note that the two additional sources you provided both relate to Officer Michael Satter being a member of the Overland Park, Kansas police department in the year 2000 (when he observed the forged license plate), when the Michael Satter who is the subject of the article was apparently still enrolled in community college or university in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. These are probably different people, because I doubt he would have been a 20- or 21-year-old college student in Minnesota and a police officer in Kansas simultaneously. Also, there are still no sources included about the study he is supposed to have participated in during 2006. The source that is supposed to be about that actually links to an unrelated article. --Metropolitan90 20:43, 11 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image:Dododo.jpg listed for deletion edit

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:Dododo.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 23:40, 12 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
