Support request with team editing experiment project

Dear tech ambassadors, instead of spamming the Village Pump of each Wikipedia about my tiny project proposal for researching team editing (see here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:IdeaLab/Research_team_editing), I have decided to leave to your own discretion if the matter is relevant enough to inform a wider audience already. I would appreciate if you could appraise if the Wikipedia community you are more familiar with could have interest in testing group editing "on their own grounds" and with their own guidance. In a nutshell: it consists in editing pages as a group instead of as an individual. This social experiment might involve redefining some aspects of the workflow we are all used to, with the hope of creating a more friendly and collaborative environment since editing under a group umbrella creates less social exposure than traditional "individual editing". I send you this message also as a proof that the Inspire Campaign is already gearing up. As said I would appreciate of *you* just a comment on the talk page/endorsement of my project noting your general perception about the idea. Nothing else. Your contribution helps to shape the future! (which I hope it will be very bright, with colors, and Wikipedia everywhere) Regards from User:Micru on meta.


Museology Article

Hi. I’m not very experienced at editing Wikipedia articles at all but I noticed that about a month ago you edited a page I am wondering about now. Since you post tech news to your user pages I figured you’d be the best person to ask my question to.

I’m not usually sure when to just edit something unless it is an obvious spelling or date error, that type of thing. I was just checking out the museology article however and I noticed some links within the text are entered in a way I haven’t seen before. Links are not only represented by the word or phrase but also oneor two letters and numbers in the sentences following several articles also serve as links. It looks weird, distracting and like it might be vandalism. At least one word that is an active link omits the first letter as part of the link. I don’t see a reason for this and I would like to know what you think or if there is a reason I am unaware of for this. As far as the word that doesn’t include all the letters as a link and the odd letters in small words following the actual subjects of the articles the links go to, does this affect the status or ranking of the other articles in some way? The sentences that link to one article several times look like several separate links. Any thoughts, this really caught my eye and makes me wonder what the editor was really looking at achieving by setting up the links that way. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Museology Kethertomalkuth (talk) 15:37, 4 April 2018 (UTC)
