Sears tower link edit

The link to [1] is not commercial. It isn't selling anything, it doesn't even have banner ads. It appears to have a template of the building that anyone can print out and use for free. It also provides several paragraphs of content about the building. Morwen - Talk 15:32, 26 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I feel your moral is all based on the that whether it is for free or not. Should you back free -drugs campaign, too? Paper33d 15:35, 26 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hehe. Well, we are the free encyclopedia, as it says on every page. But really, it is a complicated balance of utility, accessibility and relevance as to what links we think are appropriate. Morwen - Talk 15:41, 26 January 2006 (UTC)Reply
that's what I wrote - use your head not apriori think that all external links are bad. My link said - "paper scale model of ..." not "purchase some garbage" or "get it free now". These models are helping people to study and understand the form and structure of the buildings. If people by following the link "paper model of ..." sees it and think that they have beern misleaded, then... I can't help. Up to know I believed the people have their own brain, but who knows...
