Ways to improve Martin Luther (steam locomotive)
editHi, I'm Dom497. Panu Hallamaa, thanks for creating Martin Luther (steam locomotive)!
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Hi, please add more references to every statement in the article to meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy. Please do not make one reference support most of an article as it is often frowned upon on Wikipedia. Thank-you!
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.
Disambiguation link notification for March 24
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Jooseppi Mustakallio, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Provost and WSOY. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. Proposed deletion of Finnish studies on Ovamboland
editThe article Finnish studies on Ovamboland has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Not notable: unless there are multiple, reliable sources that discuss Finnish theses on Ovamboland in detail, as a group, this article fails WP:LISTN. The extant database link is not in-depth coverage.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – Finnusertop (talk ⋅ contribs) 20:58, 23 November 2016 (UTC)

editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Ulla Nenonen, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Finnish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Hallo Panu, we have not met each other, but I have noticed that you have edited substantially in articles on the geography of Namibia. There are some questions I would like to ask you: To the best of my knowledge, the Finnish article fi:Oshana (maantiede) confounds two concepts that need to be differentiated, namely oshana and omuramba: Both signify something like dry river beds in northeastern Namibia, but the use of oshana seems to be restricted to the area between the Angolan river Cuvelai and the Etosha pan whilst omuramba is the term for dry river beds in Herero language used soleley for the dry rivers of the eastern part of Namibia that leads to the Kalahari. I believe that there should be two articles, and I have tried to contact users in that regard at fi, see fi:Toiminnot:Muokkaukset/Andropov, but, as you see, with little success. Maybe you could disentangle those? See for the differentiation, for example, the German language versions of de:Oshana-System and de:Rivier (which contains a section on de:Omuramba and is, in my opinion erroneously, linked to fi:Oshana (maantiede) by d:Q913969 because both pages contain references to omuramba). This leads me to a second line of inquiry :) The word Rivier is used in Namibian German for dry river (Trockenfluss) and thus has taken a loan from Afrikaans, where the Dutch word rivier (simply meaning river) has been appropriated and used for perennial (wet) rivers as well as for non-perennial (dry) rivers. The Germans in Namibia have narrowed the meaning of rivier down to signify only dry river. Now, there is a discussion in de:Diskussion:Rivier#Kgetlengrivier if this Namibian peculiarity - rivier meaning (only) dry river - is used by speakers of English and/or Afrikaans in Namibia, as well, or if they continue to use river / rivier for all kinds of rivers, wet or dry. If you have any insights, you would help me a lot. Thank you and kind regards, --Andropov (talk) 14:40, 21 August 2018 (UTC)
